SIX CONTRACTS SIGNED, MORE ON THE WAY
The time for new competition is quickly underway. Union GP Founder & CEO Dante Reed has either released or chosen not to re-sign nearly two dozen fighters at the start of the new year, all the while signing a new batch of talent to bolster the rankings through the first installment of DRIP. Throughout the whirlwind of fighters coming and going, Reed has also been in talks with a handful of seasoned Union fighters and have struck new deals. All of the fighters that have secured new contracts include an exclusive tag, which are as follows:
Lena Lyons: 6 fights @ $850,000 per fight ($5,100,000 total)
Owen Barnes: 3 fights @ $850,000 per fight ($2,650,000 total) + $100,000 signing bonus
Nigel Musgrove: 4 fights @ $400,000 per fight ($1,600,000 total)
José Meléndez: 4 fights @ $300,000 per fight ($1,200,000 total)
Cezar Miklos: 3 fights @ $100,000 per fight ($300,000 total)
Osvaldo Ledesma: 4 fights @ $50,000 per fight ($200,000 total)
It is also noted that Reed is currently in preliminary talks with Lauren Moore, Yasmine Vermeulen, and Lars Levy, but nothing definitive has been reached. Also, with the season one finale of Everest coming this weekend, we can expect more fighters will be offered contracts to compete in either Union GP, Everest MMA, or the newly established Ryūjin FC. Stay tuned in with all of the latest as more details are made public.
