The stream fades in from darkness as the roar of the crowd amplifies. The feed starts with a cinematic aerial view of the Madison Square Garden exterior, bathed in a dazzling array of lights. Suddenly, a high-tech drone camera swoops into view, zipping through the night sky with precision and speed. The crowd below can be seen, eagerly waiting to witness the epic showdown about to unfold.
As the drone camera continues its aerial journey, it dives down toward the entrance of the arena. Here, the stage setting is nothing short of spectacular. The main stage entrance is adorned with towering screens displaying incredible fighter highlights. Pyrotechnics are primed, ready to unleash fiery explosions, and a cascade of dazzling lights dance in rhythm with the heart-pounding music.
The drone continues its flight, capturing the electrifying energy of the crowd below. The fans, dressed in a sea of colors, wave flags and banners, their excitement reaching a fever pitch. The drone camera hovers for a moment, capturing the anticipation, before the arena erupts with pyrotechnics and dazzling lights one final time, setting the tone for the thrilling event about to begin. As the grand finale wraps up, the feed pops up the poster for tonight’s card.

The drone camera, with a graceful turn, moves toward the cageside area, where the commentary team awaits their cue. The camera smoothly pans in to reveal the dynamic duo, Bodie Sullivan and the legendary Hall of Famer, Byron McCall, standing at their cageside booth.
Bodie and Byron exchange knowing nods, their excitement evident as they prepare to provide their insightful commentary on the wars about to be waged.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Ladies and gentlemen, we are live exclusively on the Battleground Network here at The World’s Most Famous Arena — Madison Square Garden, in New York City, and the octagon is officially open for business for UGP 52: FLYNN versus AZEVEDO! Hello everyone and thank you for tuning in for this epic night! I am Bodie Sullivan and of course joining me is the Hall of Fame Legend and the voice of all combat sports, “The Last Call” Byron McCall! Thank you all for tuning in for the Supercard finale of 2023!”
BYRON McCALL: “Bodie, it’s great to be here in this absolutely electric atmosphere! So much history has been made within these walls, it’s going to be a special night. We’re all still catching our breath from the action-packed prelims, and yet we’ve just scratched the surface. We’ve got a five fight main card up ahead, with two major title fights closing the show!”
BODIE SULLIVAN: “That right, B-Mac! We will see the former Everest MMA Featherweight Champion, the former Ryūjin FC Champion, and now the reigning and defending Union GP Bantamweight Champion make her first 135-pound title defense against the former Title Challenger and world-class Jiu-Jitsu specialist, Isabel Azevedo in our Main Event for the night.”
BYRON McCALL: “This is arguably going to be the toughest challenge CC Flynn has faced in her career as far as a stylistic matchup. We know she is surgical with her striking, someone who can stand and bang with the best of them, but her kryptonite has been grapplers and wrestlers. In her final run in Everest MMA, we saw her go 0-3 against Catherine Harris, Sadie Williams, and Ciaran Callahan; all fantastic ground fighters. Isabel Azevedo is as good as it gets in that aspect. And let’s not forget. Izzi has shown that she can throw hands too!”
BODIE SULLIVAN: “I would say it’s a safe bet that Supa will do everything in her power to keep the fight upright, whether she can do that for a possible twenty-five minutes though will be a big question answered at the end of the night. Speaking of standup fights, our Co-Main Event is one that we can expect to see nothing but fistic fireworks. Middleweight Champion Derrius Webb puts his title on the line against the fan favorite José Meléndez.”
BYRON McCALL: “I cannot wait to watch this one, Bodie. We got two guys who are phenomenal strikers that have absolutely no problems standing in the pocket and putting leather on you. These guys don’t know how to have a boring fight. I think it’s going to be an absolute barroom brawl. José Meléndez goes a hundred miles an hour from bell to bell, and we know he can stretch that pace for five rounds. However, for those out there that like to place some wagers on the fights, if you’re thinking of dropping some money on any prop bets for this fight, I take the under of this going the distance. I don’t believe this one sees all five rounds, someone is getting put away, and we’re all here for it!”
BODIE SULLIVAN: “I think I’d have to agree with that statement, that’s about as safe of a bet as you could make. Moving on to the undercard, we’ve got a trio of matchups that could potentially shake things up at the top of their respective divisions. But let’s focus on our featured undercard bout first, a Heavyweight tilt between former Champion Kennard Rozier and the streaking Ardan Kelly. We heard the newly crowned Champion Viktor Volkov specifically call out Rozier after winning the title, so that certainly helps his case for a shot at the title with a win tonight. However, the Irishman possesses a skill set that Rozier has never dealt with before.”
BYRON McCALL: “Ardan Kelly is arguably the best Jiu-Jitsu practitioner in the Heavyweight Division. Seven of his twelve wins come by way of submission, which makes him a very unique contender in this weight class. He has just enough of a stand up striking game to set up the takedowns, and if he can secure the clinch, he’s also dangerous with throws, trips, and pulling guard. Of course, he’s gonna have to navigate through Rozier’s lethal power, which is a lot easier said than done. With all of that said, this is exactly the opponent Kelly needs to answer the question of whether or not he’s a legitimate threat to the Heavyweight Throne.”
BODIE SULLIVAN: “No doubt about it, Kennard Rozier has made a name for himself and carved a lasting legacy with that touch of death. If Kelly can overcome that daunting task, it would certainly merit a title fight in his next outing. Staying in the division, we have another top tier Heavyweight bout between Dominic Donaldson and Benjamin Clarke. Donaldson is an Everest MMA SZN 3 runner-up and since being called up to Union, he’s gone a perfect 5-0. Tonight makes his sixth fight for the year, which makes him one of the most active fighters throughout 2023. He’s got a tough task against a guy that doesn’t have a lot of tape inside a Union GP cage. Benjamin Clarke was recently signed during a UK tour on an episode of DRIP. He made a big statement in his Union debut, securing a first round knockout in just over a minute.”
BYRON McCALL: “What we do know about Benjamin Clarke is that he’s a big guy with big power. He’s a former rugby star that has brought that grit to the cage. The word coming out from his camp is that he’s a guy that wants to fast track up the rankings. He wants the best opponents available. You gotta love someone with that mentality. He’s confident in himself and that’s the biggest battle outside of the cage.”
BODIE SULLIVAN: “It’s like the saying goes, ‘doubts and fears are between your ears.’ Overcoming the mental aspect of this brutal sport is half the battle. Alright, and then finally our main card opener is a Middleweight clash between Eagle Mondalvi and Venus Sagapolutele, two dynamic strikers who have a lot more at stake than simply setting the tempo for the night.”
BYRON McCALL: “Eagle Mondalvi is coming off a tough loss against Derrius Webb for the Title at UGP 50. He’s looking to get back in the winner’s circle and restart that journey towards another crack at the Champ. Meanwhile, Venus Sagapolutele comes in tonight on a two fight win streak, and is looking to score a big signature win against a top tier opponent to solidify herself as a legitimate title contender. It’s a bit of a ‘prove it’ fight for these fighters, making it a must see bout.”
BODIE SULLIVAN: “We’ll be here every step of the way, breaking down the action and providing you with the best analysis in the business, folks. So with that, let’s toss it over to our very own hype man himself, the mouthpiece of MMA, Mike Dempsey, who’s on stand by awaiting his cue. Ladies and gentlemen, IT’S BOUT TIME!”

ROUND ONE: The Garden crackled with energy as the bell echoed. Mondalvi erupted from his corner, a barrage of jabs and crosses launched with unrelenting force. Each blow found its mark, tattooing Sagapolutele’s guard. Her resilience was tested early, absorbing punishment, yet her resolve remained unshaken. With a stoic determination, she weathered the storm, analyzing Mondalvi’s patterns amidst the onslaught. The round was in Mondalvi’s hands, his boxing mastery on full display. Sagapolutele’s grit and unwavering spirit kept her standing, her defenses gradually evolving. Though rocked, she discovered openings, responding with well-timed counters, initiating a few exchanges that showcased her striking brilliance. Mondalvi’s aggression was formidable, but Sagapolutele’s resilience hinted at a shift in momentum.
ROUND TWO: Both fighters emerged, their corners igniting a flame within them. Mondalvi, still brimming with confidence, sought to extend his dominance. Sagapolutele, however, had recalibrated her strategy, focusing on distancing and leveraging her superior kicks. The round stayed heated with a blend of savagery and finesse. Mondalvi, relentless as ever, pressed forward, boxing with ferocious intent. But Sagapolutele, now utilizing her leg kicks to maintain distance, began carving a path to control the fight. Her strikes landed with precision, thudding against Mondalvi’s legs, creating a visible toll on his movement and foundation. The pendulum swung, both fighters locked in a clash of calculated aggression and tactical defense. Mondalvi’s punches found less success as Sagapolutele’s timing and distance management hindered his advances. The round culminated in an intense exchange, leaving spectators on edge as the judges were tasked with dissecting a fiercely contested round.
ROUND THREE: The final round commenced with a crescendo of suspense. Mondalvi, still dangerous, attempted to resurrect his early dominance, yet Sagapolutele had found her rhythm. Her footwork mesmerized, evading Mondalvi’s assaults and countering with her own calculated strikes. The pace intensified, a struggle of brutality unfolding. Sagapolutele showcased her mastery of angles, her leg kicks finding their mark repeatedly. Mondalvi, sensing the bout slipping away, launched a desperate assault, seeking to regain control with barrages of hooks and uppercuts. Sagapolutele, however, weathered the storm, her counters gaining accuracy with great authority. As the final horn blew, both warriors stood as testaments to their craft, sweat and determination etched on their faces, awaiting the judges’ final verdict.

The deafening roar of the crowd echoed through the arena, the energy of fight still lingering in the air. Bodie Sullivan, the seasoned analyst, stood at the heart of the chaos, amidst the flashing lights and jubilant screams. Amidst the pandemonium, Derrius Webb emerged, his team enveloping him in a whirlwind of celebration. Roscoe Robinson, with the grace of a big brother mentor, bestowed the gleaming Middleweight Championship upon Derrius’ shoulders as Bodie swooped in to get a word.
BODIE SULLIVAN: “Ladies and gentlemen, I am here with the winner AND STILL Union Grand Prix Middleweight Champion! Derrius, congratulations on another unbelievable performance! This now makes your second successful title defense, tell us how you’re feeling right now.”
DERRIUS WEBB: “New York… you know I just had to represent for you all here tonight, bo.”
He draws cheers from the crowd.
DERRIUS WEBB: “I spent my childhood thirty minutes from here before my ma moved us down to ATL. I’ve always remembered growing up here, though. I’ve always considered this to be my true home which makes you all fam.”
Derrius repositions the championship to his other shoulder.
DERRIUS WEBB: “Every single person who came out here to support me tonight, we all fam and I appreciate each and every single one of you. Tonight is just my second title defense of many more to come and you all get to witness firsthand history in the making. Whether they count it or not, the win streak in UGP is eleven and last I checked… UGP was signing my checks even when I was building my name in Everest.”
Derrius pauses for a moment.
DERRIUS WEBB: “… but that don’t count, right?”
He asked the crowd but turned his attention directly to the camera.
DERRIUS WEBB: “Bet. Real recognize real and you gon’ recognize me one way or another, whether you like it or not. I already have the record but I’ll play by your rules and break it again by your standards.”
BODIE SULLIVAN: “You close the year with a big win. Two title defenses, 7-0 in Union, and as you said, you’ve won eleven straight now dating back to Everest. What’s next for Spyda and how soon are you looking to get back in action?”
DERRIUS WEBB: “I just want to fight whoever and whenever. My stock ain’t rising sitting on the sidelines so throw me out there more and let me do my thing. I don’t care who it is. Put me out there every single month until you can’t stand on my own.”
The crowd’s booming reaction causes Derrius to stop in his tracks. He takes in the roaring cheers for a few extra seconds before speaking again.
DERRIUS WEBB: “You step into the cage with me and come for what’s mine? That’s a wrap, you leaving beat down and empty handed. You want it? Come see me.”
BODIE SULLIVAN: “You heard it here, folks! Give it up for your Middleweight Champion, Derrius Webb!”

The lights cut out in the arena, replaced by swirling greens and yellows, with a single spotlight shining straight on the entrance curtain. One by one, the cornermen for the challenger for the Bantamweight Championship emerge first, then it’s Isabel herself who pushes past the curtain — to the sound of a very atypical outpouring of mixed reactions. Azevedo remains focused on the task at hand, knowing she’s in hostile territory as she makes her march down to the cage.
Izzi wastes no time making her way to the cageside area, peeling off her BST Fightwear warm up gear and passing it off to her teammates before embracing each one. The last of her cornermen keeps a hold of Izzi for a little longer than the rest, giving her a last second pep talk before she’s released to get inspected. Once cleared, Izzi shuffles up the steps to the cage, stopping at the door for just a moment. Her eyes close as she takes a couple deep breaths, then they snap open and she all but sprints across the length of the cage, shuffling her way to her corner.

As the beat of “I’m Supposed to Die Tonight” by 50 Cent electrifies Madison Square Garden, a hush falls over the crowd. The arena erupts in a cosmic storm of neon lights, swirling in rhythm with the music, casting a mesmerizing glow across the octagon.
Draped in a Gi adorned with the vibrant colors of Brazil, CC Flynn flaunts her audacity, a deliberate dig to her opponent. With each step, she exudes an air of invincibility, her swagger an embodiment of her Harlem roots, a magnet for both adoration and disdain.
Her entourage, clad in matching attire, moves around her like satellites orbiting a dominant force. CC’s gaze pierces through the veil of lights, fixating on her adversary with a calculated blend of contempt and confidence.
As she approaches the inspection point, CC’s demeanor remains unflinching. After she disrobes and dabs up her cornermen, the officials begin the customary checks. Her face is meticulously greased. Equipment is examined and deemed fit.
With a final nod to the officials, CC Flynn steps through the doors of the octagon. Her eyes lock onto her opponent, a calculated smirk playing on her lips. The music fades, the lights dim, and the moment hangs suspended in time, a collision of wills awaiting its cue.

The fight is over, the crowd’s roar echoes in the aftermath of the battle with cameras flashing, illuminating the scene. Bodie Sullivan steps into the octagon, the spotlight shining on the victorious CC Flynn, her demeanor a mix of elation and fatigue.
BODIE SULLIVAN: “Ladies and gentlemen, I am here with the winner AND STILL Bantamweight Champion, CC Flynn. Supa, you just successfully defended your title for the first time in a split decision. Were you confident that you did enough to secure the victory?”
CC FLYNN: “Alhamdulillah. You know, Bodie, that was a war, no doubt. Izzi brought it, ain’t no denying it. But confident? Bodie, lemme tell ya something, confident is my middle name! Did I do enough? Of course, I did enough! I stepped in here, put on a show for these wild motherfuckers in the Garden! I had the crowd behind me, the energy was buzzin’, and I did what I always do — dominate!”
BODIE SULLIVAN: “You showcased some incredible striking tonight, really found your rhythm in the later rounds. Was that the strategy coming in?”
CC FLYNN: “Yeah, that was the plan. I wanted to dictate the pace, keep it standing, and let these fists fly. But again, gotta give props to Izzi, she’s no slouch. She came in with that flying attack, caught me off guard. I had to switch gears real quick. Once I found my rhythm, I just had to stay patient, keep the distance, and use my hands to dictate the fight. I gotta shout out my team Prodigy 206, they all helped set the stage, you know. And I gotta thank Dior, my main sponsor, they keep me looking fly while I’m knockin’ heads.”
BODIE SULLIVAN: “Now that this fight is in the rear view mirror, you don’t really have time to rest on your laurels. Your next fight is with Ryūjin FC at RFC 5 in Japan next month. Any words for your next opponent?”
CC FLYNN: “Ah, Japan, Land of the Rising Sun! RFC 5, I’m the people’s Main Event! I ain’t got much to say about it right now, but my opponent better bring it cause Imma take his lunch money! After that, I’m cleaning out the Bantamweight Division! I want the big money fights: Dallas Meechan, “Magnolia”, and that bum ass Lena Lyons! I got some unfinished business with Eugenie Bombelles too. Gonna throw the ones with her, smack some sense into that mouth of hers! 2024 is the Year of Supa!”
BODIE SULLIVAN: “Well it sounds like you have plenty of motivation to carry you well into the new year. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the victory tonight and then jump right back into camp.”
CC FLYNN: “Oh, you know it, Bodie! There’s a party in the city tonight, and you, my man, ain’t invited! But everyone else? They better gear up ’cause we’re gonna light this town up! Celebrating this victory, representing the twenty-six, and keeping this title right where it belongs — around my waist!”
BODIE SULLIVAN: “Ouch. Well there you have it ladies and gentlemen, give it up for the defending Bantamweight Champion, CC Flynn!”
With a wink and a grin, Supa exuded the unshakeable confidence of a warrior who had triumphed against all odds. She rubs Bodie’s bald head before making her way out of the octagon with the chants from the crowd echoing throughout the arena. As the camera feed begins to zoom out, a wave of camera flashes illuminate the scene as the feed gradually fades away. The Battleground Network emblem blazed across the screen as the final graphic, marking the end of this night’s unforgettable broadcast.
