UGP 63: MEYERS vs PARKER LIVE!

ROUND ONE: The atmosphere inside The Sphere in Las Vegas was electric as the crowd eagerly anticipated the opening bout of the first Supercard of the year. The energy was unmistakable, setting the stage for an exhilarating night of fights. As the bell rang, Meigui Blackman, the southpaw Muay Thai specialist, and Xia Yan, the orthodox kickboxing and karate expert, met at the center of the cage. Blackman immediately took the center, her stance low and hands high, showcasing her aggressive intent. Yan circled cautiously, her agility evident as she bounced on the balls of her feet, ready to unleash her renowned kicks. Blackman initiated the action with a swift left cross, which Yan deftly slipped, countering with a lightning-fast right roundhouse kick that grazed Blackman’s ribs. Undeterred, Blackman pressed forward, closing the distance to negate Yan’s kicking advantage. She clinched, delivering sharp knees to Yan’s midsection, showcasing her Muay Thai prowess. Yan, demonstrating her agility, managed to break free, creating space to employ her kicking arsenal. She landed a snapping front kick to Blackman’s sternum, causing a brief stumble on the heels of her feet. Blackman responded with a powerful left hook, catching Yan on the jaw, eliciting a roar from the crowd. As the round progressed, both fighters exchanged strikes with neither gaining a clear advantage. In the final moments, Yan attempted a spinning back kick, but Blackman anticipated it, catching Yan off-balance and landing a solid straight left. The round ended with both fighters returning to their corners, faces flushed, and the audience buzzing from the back-and-forth action.

ROUND TWO: The second round began with a little more intensity. Blackman, recognizing the need to assert dominance, advanced aggressively, throwing combinations of punches and low kicks. Yan utilized her footwork to evade, countering with precise kicks to Blackman’s legs and body. Midway through the round, Blackman feinted a jab, drawing Yan’s guard up, and swiftly moved into a clinch. She delivered a series of punishing knees to the body, each strike causing visible discomfort. Yan, showing resilience, managed to push Blackman away and retaliated with a high kick that narrowly missed its mark. Sensing an opportunity, Blackman intensified her assault. She cornered Yan against the cage, unleashing a barrage of punches. Yan’s defense began to wane under the relentless pressure. Just as Yan worked to circle away from the fence, Blackman delivered a devastating left head kick, her shin connecting flush with Yan’s temple. Yan crumpled to the canvas, and the referee swiftly intervened, waving off the fight.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “And welcome back to the action here at the Spherefor UGP 63! If you’re just joining us, you missed an absolute barnburner—Meigui Blackman with a stunning knockout victory over Xia Yan. The crowd is still buzzing from that one, and up next, we’ve got a Middleweight clash between Kristophe Cerulli and Reece Parker that promises fireworks. But before we get back to the action, take a look at who we’ve spotted in the crowd tonight.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “We’ve got Mackenzie in the house! For those who don’t know, Mackenzie is making waves in the world of professional wrestling. She’s relatively new to the industry, but you’d never guess it with how quickly she’s been rising through the ranks, competing all over the globe. That’s the kind of work ethic you can’t teach.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Absolutely, Kayla. It’s always great to see crossover athletes and entertainers showing love for MMA. Mackenzie’s presence here tonight, especially catching the early prelims, speaks to how far-reaching the influence of this sport has become. Well folks, the energy in the Sphere isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Up next, Kristophe Cerulli takes on Reece Parker in a Middleweight bout you won’t want to miss. Stay with us.”

ROUND ONE: The Las Vegas crowd was buzzing with anticipation for the Middleweight clash between Kristophe Cerulli and Reece Parker. As the bout began, Cerulli adopted his orthodox stance, immediately showcasing his superior agility and striking skills. He utilized crisp jabs and powerful crosses, keeping Parker at bay. Parker, aiming to leverage his wrestling background, attempted several takedowns, but Cerulli’s takedown defense proved to be difficult, thwarting each shot. Midway through the round, Cerulli unleashed a series of combinations, including hooks and uppercuts, visibly staggering Parker. Despite Parker’s resilience, the accumulation of strikes began to show, with swelling around his left eye becoming an issue. The crowd erupted as Cerulli pressed on, landing a spinning back kick to Parker’s midsection, extracting an audible groan from his opponent. In the final moments, Parker, displaying determination, managed to clinch with Cerulli against the cage. However, Cerulli’s strength and clinch striking allowed him to dominate the position, landing knees to Parker’s body. The round concluded with Cerulli firmly in control, leaving the audience eager for the next round.

ROUND TWO: The second round began with Cerulli exuding confidence, bouncing lightly on his feet. Parker, showing signs of fatigue, adopted a more defensive posture. Sensing an opportunity, Cerulli advanced, feinting a jab before delivering a devastating right cross that connected flush on Parker’s jaw. Parker’s legs buckled, and he collapsed to the canvas. The referee swiftly intervened, waving off the fight in just under a minute into the second round, declaring Cerulli the winner by knockout. The crowd erupted in applause as Cerulli celebrated his decisive victory, while medical staff attended to Parker, who fortunately regained his senses shortly after.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen! Moments ago, we witnessed a wild highlight-reel finish with Kristophe Cerulli knocking out Reece Parker. The power in that man’s hands is something fierce. But the action doesn’t stop there, we’ve got a thrilling Featherweight bout coming up next between the #10 ranked Ayumi Hikari and the always dangerous Mario Mora. Before we get back to the octagon, though, take a look at who we’ve got sitting cage-side tonight!”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “Oh yeah, there he is, Kasey Kash in the house! For those of you living under a rock, Kasey Kash is a world-renowned professional wrestler and promoter. He’s the mastermind behind Oath Wrestling and XIX Wrestling, two promotions that have been making serious waves. And hey, big congratulations are in order, he just recently tied the knot with Jenna Sharpe!”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Absolutely, congratulations to Kasey and Jenna. You know, we’ve been seeing Kasey more and more at MMA events lately. He’s a die-hard fan of the sport, and you can tell he genuinely loves the energy and intensity that only MMA can deliver.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “You’ve got to respect that. A guy who lives and breathes combat sports, whether it’s inside the squared circle or an octagon, soaking in every moment. And let’s be real, Kasey Kash knows a thing or two about promoting high-octane action. It’s no wonder he feels right at home here.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “No doubt about it. The crowd’s electric, the stakes are high, and we’ve got Ayumi Hikari looking to defend her top ten spot against the dangerous Mario Mora in our Featured Early Prelim, coming up next!”

ROUND ONE: The opening bell set off an electric pace as Ayumi Hikari and Mario Mora circled cautiously, testing each other’s range. Mora, a polished kickboxer, looked to establish his rhythm with snapping leg kicks and sharp jabs. Hikari, staying composed, used subtle feints and lateral movement to close the distance. Midway through the round, Mora unleashed a thudding body kick, which Hikari absorbed, countering with a stiff overhand right that momentarily forced Mora to retreat. Sensing an opportunity, Hikari dove for a double leg takedown, driving Mora against the cage. Despite Mora’s commendable takedown defense, Hikari’s relentless pressure prevailed, and she secured top position. On the mat, Hikari showcased her grappling pedigree, transitioning fluidly to side control. Mora, clearly out of his element, squirmed to escape but ate several short elbows from Hikari. As the clock ticked down, Hikari threatened with a north-south choke, drawing a roaring response from the crowd. Mora managed to survive, but Hikari left no doubt she had taken the round.

ROUND TWO: Mora entered the second round more aggressively, firing combinations and utilizing his speed to tag Hikari with precise punches. A clean head kick from Mora landed flush, drawing cheers from the audience and a noticeable reddening on Hikari’s cheek. However, the Japanese grappler showed immense heart, absorbing the damage and pushing forward. Hikari returned fire with a powerful body kick, backing Mora into the cage. She closed the distance and engaged in the clinch, firing off knees to Mora’s midsection. Mora reversed the position briefly, but Hikari executed a beautiful inside trip, slamming Mora onto the canvas. From half guard, Hikari softened Mora with ground-and-pound, using calculated strikes to set up an arm triangle choke attempt. Mora, visibly fatigued but determined, defended well, surviving to the bell. The momentum seemed to be shifting back to Hikari.

ROUND THREE: The final round began with Mora throwing wild strikes, knowing he needed a finish. Hikari, however, remained disciplined, dodging Mora’s haymakers with deft head movement. Timing Mora’s overcommitment on a right hook, Hikari ducked under and landed a double leg takedown with authority. On the ground, Hikari quickly transitioned to mount, raining down punches that forced Mora to expose his back. Wasting no time, Hikari locked in a body triangle and methodically set up a rear-naked choke. Mora fought valiantly to peel her hands away, but Hikari’s grip was ironclad. As the crowd roared, Mora accepted his fate and tapped, granting Hikari a spectacular submission victory to defend the number next to her name.

ROUND ONE: As the first fight of the regular prelims, Trevor Martin and Masato Endo entered the cage to a steadily growing and boisterous crowd. Martin, known for his versatile skills, and Endo, a Taekwondo specialist, began the bout with a mutual feeling-out process. Endo quickly showcased his dynamic kicking arsenal, firing off snapping sidekicks and spinning back kicks to keep Martin at bay. Martin, a notorious slow starter, maintained his composure, reading Endo’s timing and circling cautiously. Endo landed a clean spinning hook kick to Martin’s midsection, causing an audible gasp from the crowd. However, Martin absorbed the shot and began to pressure forward, cutting off Endo’s lateral movement with sharp footwork. A sudden shift in momentum came when Martin caught a teep kick from Endo, using it to barrel forward into a clinch. From there, Martin showcased his grappling prowess, securing double underhooks and driving Endo into the fence. Martin transitioned smoothly to a body lock takedown, slamming Endo to the mat to a roar from the crowd. Endo scrambled to his feet, but Martin capitalized on the opening, locking up a tight guillotine choke in the process. With Endo’s head trapped and his neck cranked, Martin expertly adjusted his grip, sinking the choke deeper as he pulled guard. Endo struggled valiantly, his legs kicking in desperation, but there was no escape. The tap came inside the first frame of the fight, marking a thrilling and efficient victory for Trevor Martin. The crowd erupted in appreciation of Martin’s calculated approach and devastating finishing ability.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Welcome back, fight fans! If you’re just joining us, you missed an impressive display of grappling mastery! #8 ranked Lightweight Trevor Martin delivered a slick first round submission over Masato Endo. Martin continues to prove why he’s a force to be reckoned with in the division. Up next, we’ve got a pivotal Welterweight clash between #8 ranked Robin Kelson and #9 ranked Alfie O’Shea, but before we dive back into the action, look who we’ve got sitting cageside tonight.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “There he is, Mason Lambert! For those who don’t know, Mason is one of the hottest new prospects in the Middleweight division. He just made his Union GP debut at Boss Fight 51, and what a debut it was, a spectacular win that put the entire division on notice.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Absolutely, Kayla. Mason’s got that rare mix of athleticism and fight IQ that makes you sit up and take notice. And tonight, he’s not just here as a rising star, he’s here to support his teammates from Holmes MMA and Wrestling Academy. That includes Robin Kelson, who’s about to step into the octagon, as well as Verona Jimenez and Jordan Parker later tonight.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “You love to see that kind of camaraderie. That gym has been producing some serious talent, and Mason’s presence here shows the bond these fighters have outside the cage. It’s not just about individual success, it’s about lifting each other up.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “No doubt about it. Well, speaking of, one of their own is moments away from battle. Robin Kelson versus Alfie O’Shea — #8 versus #9 in the Welterweight division. This one’s got fireworks written all over it. Don’t go anywhere!”

ROUND ONE: In a highly anticipated welterweight clash, #8 ranked Robin “The Sweetheart” Kelson faced off against the seasoned “Titanium Cranium” Alfie O’Shea. The atmosphere in the arena was electric, with fans eagerly awaiting the stylistic showdown between Kelson’s grappling prowess and O’Shea’s striking expertise. As the bout began, both fighters adopted their orthodox stances, circling cautiously. O’Shea initiated the action with crisp jabs, aiming to establish his boxing range. Kelson, aware of his striking disadvantage, maintained a high guard, patiently waiting for an opportunity to close the distance. Midway through the round, O’Shea landed a solid right cross, momentarily staggering Kelson. Sensing an opening, O’Shea pressed forward with a flurry of punches. However, Kelson showcased his resilience, ducking under a hook to secure a body lock. Utilizing his Greco-Roman wrestling skills, he executed a textbook belly-to-back suplex, sending O’Shea crashing to the canvas. On the ground, Kelson transitioned to side control, delivering methodical ground and pound to the body and head. O’Shea attempted to scramble, but Kelson’s top control was dominant. As the round waned, Kelson sought a kimura, but O’Shea’s defense held firm, surviving until the bell. The crowd erupted in appreciation of the grappling display.

ROUND TWO: The second round began with O’Shea showing some urgency, increasing his output with combinations targeting Kelson’s midsection. Kelson absorbed the strikes, biding his time. As O’Shea overcommitted to a left hook, Kelson ducked under and hit a double leg takedown, planting O’Shea near the cage. From half guard, Kelson methodically worked to mount, isolating O’Shea’s arm in the process. Sensing the danger, O’Shea bucked, attempting to disrupt Kelson, but “The Sweetheart” maintained his position. Transitioning seamlessly, Kelson locked in an arm triangle choke. O’Shea struggled, his face reddening, but displayed immense heart, refusing to tap. With sheer determination, he managed to create just enough space to survive, and the round concluded with Kelson firmly in control.

ROUND THREE: Entering the final round, both fighters showed signs of fatigue. O’Shea, aware he was likely behind on the scorecards, adopted a more aggressive approach, launching overhand rights and uppercuts. Kelson, showing improved head movement, evaded several strikes but ate a stiff jab that bloodied his nose. Feeding off the crowd’s energy, Kelson feinted a takedown, causing O’Shea to lower his hands. Capitalizing, Kelson landed a rare overhand right, surprising O’Shea. Seizing the moment, Kelson clinched, driving O’Shea against the cage. Employing some dirty boxing, he delivered short hooks and knees to the thighs. Kelson executed an inside trip, bringing O’Shea to the mat once more. Transitioning to mount, he unleashed a barrage of punches. O’Shea, showing his toughness, attempted to buck and roll. In the scramble, Kelson took O’Shea’s back, sinking in both hooks. Flattening him out, Kelson locked in a rear naked choke. O’Shea resisted valiantly but had no choice but to tap. The arena erupted with cheers as Robin Kelson stood victorious, acknowledging the crowd’s support. Both fighters embraced, showing mutual respect after a hard fought contest.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Welcome back, folks! We just witnessed a masterclass in perseverance and grappling as Robin Kelson locked up a third round submission victory over Alfie O’Shea. A huge win for Kelson as he continues his climb up the Welterweight rankings. The action keeps rolling as we turn our attention to the Featured Prelim, a high stakes Featherweight clash between #8 ranked Ryo Mitsunari and #9 ranked Verona Jimenez. Before we get to that, though, let’s take a moment to acknowledge a very special guest in the crowd tonight.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “Oh, you love to see it, Isabel Azevedo is in the house! And what a moment in her career right now. She just won the inaugural Featherweight Championship Grand Prix, finally securing her first title in Union GP after spending years as one of the top contenders in the Bantamweight division. Talk about perseverance paying off!”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Absolutely, Kayla. Izzi has been a fixture in this sport for a long time, always right on the doorstep of Championship gold. And now, after running the gauntlet in that Grand Prix, she’s sitting atop the Featherweight division. A true testament to skill, determination, and Championship mentality.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “And you have to imagine she’s got her eyes locked on this next fight. Ryo Mitsunari and Verona Jimenez are both ranked in the top ten, both trying to carve their path toward title contention. Isabel might be taking in the action as a fan tonight, but you can bet she’s also scouting potential future challengers.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “No doubt, Kayla. And with the way this division is shaping up, there’s no shortage of hungry contenders. But right now, the spotlight is on two of them, #8 ranked Ryo Mitsunari and #9 ranked Verona Jimenez, in what promises to be an explosive Featured Prelim. Don’t go anywhere!”

ROUND ONE: In a highly anticipated Featherweight clash, #8 Ryo Mitsunari faced off against #9 Verona Jimenez. The atmosphere was electric as fans eagerly awaited for the Featured Prelim bout to begin. As the opening bell rang, both fighters assumed their orthodox stances, circling cautiously. Mitsunari initiated the action with a series of probing low kicks, aiming to disrupt Jimenez’s rhythm. Jimenez, utilizing her Philly Shell defense, absorbed the kicks while maintaining her composure. She responded with crisp boxing combinations, connecting with a stiff jab that snapped Mitsunari’s head back. Mitsunari attempted to close the distance, feinting a takedown to set up a high kick. However, Jimenez’s footwork allowed her to evade the strike effortlessly. Jimenez stepped in with a powerful right cross, followed by a left hook to the body. The impact was audible, and Mitsunari winced, showing the power of the body shot. Jimenez pressed forward, unleashing a barrage of punches. Mitsunari, displaying his agility, managed to slip some of the strikes but couldn’t avoid them all. A sharp left hook found its mark, causing a small cut above Mitsunari’s right eye. Blood trickled down, and the crowd’s excitement grew. Mitsunari sought to change the tide by engaging in a clinch, but Jimenez circled out, creating some space. As the final few seconds ticked away in the round, Jimenez quickly picked up the tempo. She feinted a jab, drawing Mitsunari’s guard up, and then delivered a devastating right uppercut. The punch landed flush on Mitsunari’s chin, and he crumpled to the canvas, unconscious before he hit the ground. The referee immediately stepped in, waving off the fight. The arena erupted in cheers as Verona Jimenez secured a spectacular knockout victory.

The stream fades in from darkness as the roar of the crowd amplifies. The feed starts with a cinematic aerial view of the Sphere exterior, bathed in a dazzling array of lights. Suddenly, a high-tech drone camera swoops into view, zipping through the night sky with precision and speed. The crowd below can be seen, eagerly waiting to witness the epic showdown about to unfold.

As the drone camera continues its aerial journey, it dives down toward the entrance of the arena. Here, the stage setting is nothing short of spectacular. The main stage entrance is adorned with towering screens displaying incredible fighter highlights. Pyrotechnics are primed, ready to unleash fiery explosions, and a cascade of dazzling lights dance in rhythm with the heart-pounding music.

The drone continues its flight, capturing the electrifying energy of the crowd below. The fans, dressed in a sea of colors, wave flags and banners, their excitement reaching a fever pitch. The drone camera hovers for a moment, capturing the anticipation, before the arena erupts with pyrotechnics and beaming lights one final time, setting the tone for the thrilling event about to begin. As the grand finale wraps up, the feed pops up the poster for tonight’s card.

The drone camera, with a graceful turn, moves toward the cageside area, where the commentary team awaits their cue. The broadcast transitions to the commentary desk, where Bodie Sullivan and Kayla Chapman stand poised, ready to welcome the audience to the highly anticipated main card.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Ladies and gentlemen, fight fans around the world, we are LIVE exclusively on the Battleground Network here at the sold out Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada — home of Union GP tonight — and the octagon is officially open for business for UGP 63: MEYERS vs PARKER! Hello everyone and thank you for tuning in! I’m Bodie Sullivan, thrilled to be bringing you another night of world-class mixed martial arts action, and joining me for the very first time at the desk, she is the gold standard of fight coverage, a pillar of MMA journalism, and now the newest Union GP analyst, Kayla Chapman! Kayla, welcome to the broadcast team!”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “Thank you, Bodie! It’s an honor to be here, and what a night to make a debut! UGP 63 is absolutely stacked from top to bottom. The prelims have set the tone, but now the stakes get even higher as we shift our focus to five blockbuster fights that will reshape divisions and define legacies. This main card lineup is a phenomenal way to start the new year.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “No doubt about it, and before we dive into tonight’s lineup, we do have some breaking news regarding the man we’ve grown accustomed to standing to my side, the Hall of Fame icon Byron McCall. Kayla, I’ll let you do the honors.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “Thank you, Bodie. Byron McCall will be stepping away from the commentary desk for the foreseeable future because he’s making his return to competition at UGP 64 in New Orleans! The former Middleweight Champion has decided to lace up the gloves once again, and we’ll have more details on his opponent soon. Certainly I’ve got some big shoes to fill going forward, but tonight, we focus on UGP 63, and what a main card we have ahead of us.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “It all kicks off with a high stakes Welterweight bout between two fighters who may be fresh names in this division, but in a new weight class that’s still finding its identity, one big performance can fast-track you straight into the title picture. Number two ranked Connor Bouchard may be a rookie, but at 30 years old, he fights with the poise and skill of a veteran. An elite Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner with a well rounded skill set, he has all the tools to be a serious threat in this division. However, standing in his way is Mateo de Leon, the number six ranked contender who possesses incredible speed and an ability to dictate the tempo of a fight. Kayla, with both men being elite grapplers, do you think we’ll see this one turn into a chess match on the ground, or will they try to prove a point on the feet?”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “That’s the big question, Bodie. When two high level BJJ specialists meet, sometimes it cancels out, and we end up with a striking battle, but I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them leans into their grappling to impose their will. De Leon has a knack for controlling fights, and if Bouchard lets him dictate the pace, it could be a long night. But Bouchard is incredibly savvy, if he finds an opening, he’s going to pounce on it. This one could be a sleeper Fight of the Night contender.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “From there, we shift gears to what many are calling the people’s main event. The legendary Marissa Kane makes her long awaited Union GP debut, taking on the always dangerous Magdalena Moruga. Kayla, we’re talking about a true pioneer in Kane. A Hall of Famer, an elite fighter in every aspect of the game, and one of the most cerebral competitors to ever do it. Tonight, when she steps inside a Union GP cage for the first time, she’s facing a buzzsaw in Moruga, a ruthless striker with an unpredictable style. What are your thoughts on this matchup?”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “This is such a fascinating fight, Bodie. Kane coming out of retirement for the third time to compete in Union GP says a lot about her hunger to test herself at the highest level. But let’s be honest, Moruga isn’t here to play the respectful understudy, she’s here to make a statement. Magdalena Moruga doesn’t care about Kane’s legacy, she wants to use this fight to propel herself back into title contention. She thrives in chaos, she’s relentless, and she’ll look to overwhelm Kane early. The big question is whether Kane’s experience and fight IQ can weather the storm and systematically break Moruga down. If anyone can do it, it’s her.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “And then, things get even bigger as we move into a bona fide number one contender’s fight in the Middleweight division. Venus Sagapolutele and Zion Momo’a are two of the toughest, most battle tested warriors in this division, and there’s no way this isn’t an absolute war. Venus has devastating kicks, possesses an iron chin, and thrives in close-range brawls. She’s not afraid to take one to give one, and that makes her a nightmare matchup for almost anyone. Zion Momo’a an elite striker in his own right too. He blends elite striking with insane durability and agility, and has that ‘refuse to lose’ mentality. Kayla, is there any chance this fight isn’t an all out slugfest?”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “Not a chance, Bodie. These two only know one way to fight, and that’s full throttle. Venus has been a staple at the top of this division for years, but Zion has all the momentum, and when you’re riding an eight-fight win streak like his, you feel untouchable. The key for Venus is to control distance with those kicks and force Zion to fight on her terms, but if Zion gets inside and turns this into a phone booth war, we could be in for something truly special.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Then, we venture into the championship block of the card as Victoria Marshall defends her Bantamweight title against the surging MANDEM. Marshall has been untouchable for 13 straight fights, combining suffocating wrestling with surprisingly sharp boxing, but MANDEM will show that he is a different beast. He’s tough as nails, elusive, and an elite striker. Kayla, do you think MANDEM has what it takes to dethrone the Champ?”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “He’s absolutely capable, but it won’t be easy. Marshall is a grinder, she forces her opponents into deep waters and makes them drown. If MANDEM can use his footwork to stay elusive and avoid getting pinned against the cage or taken down, he could chip away at Marshall and find his moment. But that’s a big ‘if’ when you’re dealing with someone as relentless as Victoria Marshall.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “And finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for, tonight’s Main Event for the Lightweight Championship. Benji Meyers looks to make his second title defense against the former two-time champion Jordan Parker. Meyers has been nearly flawless, utilizing his wide karate stance, long-range striking, and relentless pace to outclass his opposition. However, Parker is a world-class BJJ specialist, has championship experience, and is as tough as they come. If he wins tonight, he makes history as the first three-time champion in a single division in Union GP history. Kayla, how does Parker navigate Meyers’ striking to get this fight where he wants it?”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “It’s going to take patience and smart shot selection. Parker can’t afford to get caught at the end of Meyers’ punches and kicks. He has to close the distance, make it ugly, and force scrambles. If he can get Meyers down, we’re in a completely different fight, but that’s easier said than done when you’re dealing with a champion as skilled and dynamic as Benji Meyers.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “We’ll be with you every step of the way, breaking down the action and providing you with the best coverage from start to finish. The Sphere is packed to the rafters with 18,000 plus ready to witness history! So, without further ado, let’s toss it over to our very own hype man, the mouthpiece of MMA, Mike Dempsey, who’s standing by, ready to get things started. Ladies and gentlemen…”

“IT’S BOUT TIME!”

ROUND ONE: The Main Card opener delivered instant intensity as #2 ranked Connor Bouchard locked eyes with #6 ranked Mateo de Leon under the arena’s majestic aura. The air was tense as the crowd braced for what promised to be a war. Bouchard, an orthodox technician blending Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai, started with calculated precision, snapping crisp jabs and chopping low kicks that echoed through the arena. De Leon, a southpaw grappling savant, danced just outside Bouchard’s range. Midway through the round, de Leon pounced with a blast double leg takedown, timing it perfectly as Bouchard pressed forward. The canvas trembled as they hit the mat, and de Leon wasted no time imposing his will. Sliding effortlessly into side control, he clamped down on Bouchard’s arm, threatening a brutal kimura. The crowd roared as Bouchard grimaced, the veins in his neck bulging as he fought to stay in the fight. Bouchard’s grit shone through as he squirmed, twisted, and clawed his way to half guard, denying de Leon the finish, but de Leon wasn’t letting up. He crushed his forearm across Bouchard’s face, grinding down while peppering short shots to keep him pinned. Blood began to trickle from a small cut above Bouchard’s right eyebrow. As the final seconds ticked away, de Leon solidified his dominance, anchoring himself in top position and delivering measured strikes. Bouchard’s eyes burned with defiance even as the horn sounded, a silent promise that he wasn’t done yet. The crowd erupted, their cheers mixing with the fighters’ heavy breathing, setting the stage for an explosive second round.

ROUND TWO: The second round ignited with Connor Bouchard stepping on the gas, his measured approach from earlier replaced by relentless aggression. He charged forward, unleashing heavy hooks that crashed against Mateo de Leon’s guard, followed by stinging body kicks that booked throughout the building. De Leon’s sharp footwork faltered under the barrage, and he began absorbing the brunt of Bouchard’s power. Sensing the shift, Bouchard pressed harder, stalking de Leon with calculated attacks. But de Leon, battered but still sharp, found his opening. Closing the distance in a heartbeat, he locked Bouchard into a clinch and executed a slick inside trip takedown, sending the crowd into a frenzy. On the canvas, de Leon’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu pedigree took center stage. He smoothly transitioned to full mount, his hips heavy as he pinned Bouchard beneath him. The ground and pound intensified, fists raining down like sledgehammers. Blood smeared across the mat as Bouchard absorbed the assault, his face tightening in grim determination. However, his defense never waned, he controlled de Leon’s posture, nullifying the full force of the strikes. The final minute brought high drama as de Leon shifted his weight and attacked with a vicious armbar attempt. The arena gasped as Bouchard’s arm extended dangerously close to the breaking point. With sweat pouring and muscles straining, Bouchard twisted free, rolling into top position with the crowd roaring in approval. Now in de Leon’s guard, Bouchard made his presence known, slicing down with sharp elbows that carved through de Leon’s defenses. The horn sounded amidst a storm of action, the fighters separating with their faces etched with the wear and tear of an intense back and forth battle. The energy in the Sphere reached a fever pitch, the crowd sensing that this war was far from over.

ROUND THREE: With the fight potentially hanging in the balance, Connor Bouchard and Mateo de Leon entered the final round with everything on the line. The tension in the air was heavy as both fighters locked eyes, their bodies battered but their spirits unbroken. Bouchard, sensing the narrow opportunity to seize victory, opened with a thunderous overhand right that cracked de Leon’s jaw and sent him reeling on unsteady legs. The crowd erupted as the momentum swung violently in Bouchard’s favor. Refusing to let up, Bouchard unleashed a relentless flurry of punches, his fists crashing into de Leon’s guard and slipping through to connect with his battered face. De Leon, now desperate, dove for a single leg takedown, but Bouchard was ready. He sprawled expertly, driving his hips down to halt the attempt and locked up a tight guillotine choke in one fluid motion. The arena roared as Bouchard cinched the choke, sweat pouring off both men as de Leon struggled against the vice-like grip. Every second felt like an eternity as de Leon clawed at Bouchard’s arms, his face contorted in agony and exhaustion. Bouchard, showing the composure of a veteran, adjusted his grip and dropped to his back, pulling guard to tighten the submission like a noose. With no escape in sight, de Leon was forced to tap. The referee intervened, and the crowd exploded in a deafening wave of cheers as Bouchard rose to his feet, arms raised in victory.

During his post fight interview, Bouchard was breathing heavily but beaming with emotion and addressed the roaring crowd. “First off, thank you to everyone here tonight, your energy kept me going. I’ve got to give respect to Mateo, he’s a tough competitor and pushed me to my limits.”

Then, with a confident smile, Bouchard turned the conversation to his future. “I know I’m still new to this sport, but so is the Welterweight Champion, Hendrik Geen. I think tonight, I proved I belong at the top. If a title shot isn’t next, I’m not moving backward. I want the #1 contender, Mustafa Al-Masri. Let’s see who’s truly ready for that gold.”

The crowd roared with approval, eager over the potential matchups. Bouchard left the cage with his stock soaring as a fighter on the brink of greatness.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen! If you’ve been with us tonight, you just witnessed a thrilling conclusion, Connor Bouchard securing a third-round submission over Mateo de Leon. What a performance, showcasing resilience and high level grappling. Up next, we’ve got the bout many are calling the people’s main event, a Bantamweight clash between #8 ranked Magdalena Moruga and none other than Hall of Fame legend Marissa Kane, making her long-awaited Union GP debut. Before we get back to the action, though, look who we’ve spotted cageside tonight.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “Oh, would you look at that, Gianna Howard in the building! A former Bantamweight Champion and one of the most dominant fighters the division has ever seen. She holds the record for the most successful title defenses in Bantamweight history, and even though she hasn’t been all that active lately, with just one fight in 2024 against newly inducted Hall of Famer Paige Holloway, her presence always gets people talking.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Absolutely, Kayla. Gianna Howard is an enigma right now. You never know when she’s going to make her return, and that unpredictability only adds to her mystique. But with the Bantamweight division heating up with names like Victoria Marshall defending her title in the Co-Main Event later tonight, Serenity Holmes climbing the ranks, and of course, Marissa Kane stepping into the octagon shortly, Gianna has no shortage of high profile options whenever she decides to come back.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “And that’s the beauty of it, Bodie. She doesn’t need to say a word. Just her being here sends a message. Is she scouting future opponents? Is she planning a comeback? Is she simply here to support her fellow Throne MMA teammate and coach, Marissa Kane? No one knows, and that’s what keeps the fans, and the division, on edge.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “No doubt about it. Well, speaking of legends and contenders, it’s time to shift our focus back to the octagon. Magdalena Moruga versus Hall of Famer Marissa Kane, a Bantamweight bout with all the makings of an instant classic. Stay tuned!”

ROUND ONE: The arena was white hot as Hall of Famer Marissa Kane stepped into the Union GP cage for the first time, facing the dangerous and wily #8 ranked Magdalena Moruga in a Bantamweight clash dripping with tension. From the opening bell, Moruga came charging out like a predator hunting its prey, throwing blistering combinations of punches and kicks with reckless abandon. The crowd roared as she cracked Kane’s guard with a punishing leg kick, followed by a looping overhand right that forced Kane to retreat. Kane, visibly composed but showing signs of ring rust, relied on her Taekwondo pedigree to stay out of danger. Her sidekicks snapped like whips, keeping Moruga at bay just enough to avoid being overwhelmed. Still, Moruga’s aggression was relentless, her strikes cut through the air with vicious intent. Midway through the round, the tide briefly turned when Moruga landed a devastating right hook that snapped Kane’s head to the side. The impact left a mouse blossoming under Kane’s left eye, drawing audible gasps from the crowd, but Kane wasn’t about to fold. Gritting her teeth, she bit down on her mouthpiece and closed the distance, pulling Moruga into a clinch to stifle her assault. Elbows and knees collided in close quarters. With seconds left in the round, Moruga uncorked a spinning back fist that whizzed inches from Kane’s jaw, narrowly missing its mark. The near miss elicited a collective gasp from the crowd, who were on their feet, captivated by the brutal back and forth. The round ended with Kane wiping blood from her swelling eye and Moruga pacing like a wild animal, her eyes burning with the promise of more violence to come.

ROUND TWO: Between rounds, Kane’s corner provided strategic adjustments, emphasizing the need to exploit Moruga’s lack of grappling ability. Kane emerged from her corner with a calculated demeanor, her movements sharper and more deliberate. She peppered Moruga with feints, drawing out wild counters before snapping crisp jabs through her guard. Each punch landed clean, followed by a thunderous roundhouse kick to Moruga’s ribs that echoed through the cage. Moruga winced but refused to back down, her defiance on display even as Kane began to dictate the pace. Sensing her opportunity, Kane closed the distance and locked Moruga in a clinch. The crowd roared as she executed a perfectly timed hip toss, slamming Moruga onto the canvas with authority. Kane wasted no time asserting her dominance, sliding seamlessly into side control. Her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu prowess came alive as she methodically worked to isolate Moruga’s arm, threatening a kimura. Moruga gritted her teeth, her raw toughness keeping her in the fight, but it was clear she was out of her element. Her struggles to escape were met with punishing shoulder pressure from Kane, who maintained control with surgical precision. With the clock ticking down, Kane postured up, her eyes blazing with intent. She rained down sharp elbows, each one landing with sickening thuds that split Moruga’s skin. Blood trickled from a gash above Moruga’s right eyebrow, painting the mat in crimson streaks as the crowd erupted into a frenzy. Moruga twisted beneath the assault, but Kane refused to relent. The horn finally sounded, and Kane rose to her feet, a triumphant glare on her face as Moruga wiped blood from her brow. The momentum had swung decisively, and the crowd roared their approval, sensing the Hall of Famer was beginning to take control of the fight.

ROUND THREE: As the final round began, the stakes couldn’t have been higher. Both fighters wore the weight of the battle on their faces, yet their determination burned bright. Moruga, sensing she could be behind on the scorecards, stormed out of her corner with unrelenting aggression. She unleashed looping hooks, her punches loaded with desperation and the intent to end the fight in one blow. The crowd roared with anticipation, feeding off her unyielding intensity. Kane, however, was locked into her flow state. She moved like a haunting spirit, slipping past Moruga’s haymakers with ease, her years of experience shining through. Kane retaliated with pinpoint counters, crisp straight punches that snapped Moruga’s head back with each impact. The difference in precision was stark, and Kane seized her moment. A perfectly timed teep kick slammed into Moruga’s midsection, driving her back into the fence. Sensing the finish was near, Kane unleashed a spinning heel kick with devastating accuracy. The sound of the impact echoed through the Sphere as her heel crashed against Moruga’s temple, sending her staggering. Moruga’s legs betrayed her as she crumpled to the canvas, her toughness unable to overcome the force of the blow. Kane, showing the killer instinct that earned her the moniker “Murder Queen,” immediately pounced. Mounted atop her opponent, Kane unleashed a barrage of ground and pound, piston-like hammerfists and elbows raining down with ferocity. Moruga tried to defend, but the onslaught was overwhelming. The referee had seen enough, stepping in to wave off the fight late in the third round. The arena erupted in pandemonium as Kane raised her arms in victory, blood and sweat streaked across her face, a modern day  warrior in her element.

With clear signs of relief in her eyes, Marissa Kane addressed the roaring Vegas crowd. “Vegas has always been like a second home to me,” she said, her voice unshakable. “Your support means the world to me. Thank you!” The crowd erupted into a standing ovation, chanting her name.

“I’m not here just to compete,” Kane declared, her tone shifting to one of unshakable confidence. “I’m here to win championships! I want a top-five opponent next, and by the end of the year, I’m fighting for that belt.” The crowd responded with a standing ovation, eager to see what the future holds for the “Murder Queen”.

Marissa Kane’s successful debut and decisive victory have undoubtedly shaken up the Bantamweight division, setting the stage for a number of high stakes matchups in the near future.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Welcome back, fight fans! We just witnessed an incredible performance as Hall of Fame legend Marissa Kane made a statement in her Union GP debut, securing a third round TKO over the dangerous Magdalena Moruga. Kane shows that class is permanent, even after all these years. But the action doesn’t stop there, up next, we’ve got a Middleweight title eliminator as the #1 ranked Venus Sagapolutele squares off against the #2 ranked Zion Momo’a. And speaking of Middleweights, look who we’ve got sitting cageside.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “We’ve got none other than Alexander Sokolov, the reigning Middleweight Champion! No doubt here to keep a close eye on tonight’s title eliminator because one of these two will in fact be next in line to challenge for his belt.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Sokolov has been a dominant force in the Middleweight division, blending ruthless precision with undeniable power. Venus Sagapolutele and Zion Momo’a both bring unique challenges to the table. You have to wonder what’s going through his mind as he watches these two top contenders battle it out.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “And that’s the thing with Sokolov, he’s got that stoic demeanor, never giving much away. Make no mistake, though, he’s studying every detail. The pace, the striking tendencies, the grappling exchanges. Champions like him don’t leave anything to chance.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “No doubt about it. Well, the champion is watching, the stakes couldn’t be higher, and the Middleweight division is about to get even more interesting. Venus Sagapolutele versus Zion Momo’a, with a title shot on the line. Don’t blink, folks. This is going to be a good one!”

ROUND ONE: The Featured Undercard bout is a highly anticipated Middleweight showdown with top ranked Venus Sagapolutele facing off against Ryūjin FC Champion Zion Momo’a. As the opening bell rang, Venus Sagapolutele stormed to the center like a woman possessed. She cut off the cage immediately, her eyes locked on Zion Momo’a, daring him to step into her range. Momo’a circled, light on his feet, his shoulders twitching with feints as he analyzed her movement. Sagapolutele didn’t wait. She snapped out a jab, then another, peppering his guard, setting the stage for her thunderous kicks. Then she let one fly, a roundhouse kick rocketed toward Momo’a’s ribs. He caught it on his forearm, absorbing the impact with a grimace, then fired right back with a right cross that grazed Sagapolutele’s chin. The crowd gasped as her head snapped sideways, but she didn’t so much as blink. She pressed forward, driving a stiff kick into Momo’a’s lead leg with a sickening thud. He stumbled for half a second, and that was all she needed. Sagapolutele surged ahead, fists flying in a whirlwind of destruction. A hook, a straight, another low kick, the onslaught was relentless, but Momo’a stayed vigilant and ducked under a looping hook before he locked his arms around her waist. In one explosive motion, he twisted and launched her through the air with a picture perfect hip toss. Sagapolutele crashed onto the canvas, the wind ripped from her lungs. The crowd roared as Momo’a smothered her, pinning her under his weight, hunting for a kimura. However, Sagapolutele refused to give up now. She bridged, powered out, and scrambled to her feet, her cheek now swelling from Momo’a’s earlier strikes. As they circled back to their feet, the unexpected happened. Momo’a uncorked a spinning back fist that crashed into Sagapolutele’s temple. She staggered, her legs betraying her. The air left the arena in a collective gasp. Momo’a smelled blood. He pounced, unloading a barrage of fists that sent her stumbling into the fence. A final, crushing right hand detonated on her chin. She crumpled and the referee dove in, peeling Momo’a away as the crowd erupted. Momo’a strutted to the center, arms raised, grinning ear to ear. He had just made a statement at the top of the division.

Under the bright lights, Zion Momo’a stood center stage, chest heaving, adrenaline still surging through his veins. Crimson-stained sweat dripped from his brow, but he showed pure, unshakable confidence. He ripped the mic from the interviewer’s hand and let his voice boom over the roaring crowd.

“They must have amnesia because they forgot I’m HIM!” he roared, the arena exploding in response. “You saw what just happened! You saw what I did! I told you, I don’t take damage, I don’t play games, and I don’t need time off. I feel fresh. I feel dangerous. And I’m ready to make a quick turnaround and get right back in this bitch!”

He took a step forward, eyes burning with intensity. “Alexander Sokolov! Enough waiting. Enough talking. Anytime, anywhere! Sign the contract and step in here with me. Let’s find out who the real king of this division is!”

The crowd erupted, the energy inside the Sphere reaching a fever pitch. Momo’a smirked, soaking it all in, already envisioning the impending championship collision that lay ahead.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen! We just witnessed an absolute shocker as Zion Momo’a delivered a devastating first round knockout over Venus Sagapolutele, cementing his place as the next in line for a shot at the Middleweight Championship. What a statement win! But the excitement keeps rolling as we turn our attention to the Co-Main Event, a Bantamweight Championship bout between the reigning champ, Victoria Marshall, and the #3 ranked contender, MANDEM. Before we get back to the action, though, take a look at who we’ve spotted in the crowd tonight.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “It’s the current number five ranked Bantamweight, Serenity Holmes! She’s been making a lot of noise lately, not just with her performances inside the cage but with her vocal pursuit of a title shot. She’s called out top names like Gianna Howard and Eugenie Bombelles, and you can bet she’s watching this upcoming title fight with laser focus.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Absolutely, Kayla. Serenity’s been clear about her intentions. She wants gold, and she’s not afraid to call out the biggest names to get there. Seeing her here tonight, you know she’s taking mental notes, analyzing every move from both Victoria Marshall and MANDEM, figuring out what it’s going to take to get herself into that title conversation.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “And that’s the mindset of a future Champion, Bodie. It’s not just about what you do in the cage, it’s about studying the landscape, understanding the competition, and positioning yourself for the biggest opportunities. Serenity Holmes has all the tools, and with the way the Bantamweight division is heating up, her time might be coming sooner than people think.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Couldn’t agree more. But right now, all eyes are on the Co-Main Event. The Bantamweight Championship is on the line. Victoria Marshall defends her crown against the relentless challenger, MANDEM. This one’s going to be fireworks. Stay with us folks!”

The lights dim inside the Sphere, casting shadows that ripple across the roaring crowd. A pulse of silence sweeps through. Then, like a shot fired in the dark, the unmistakable beat drops.

The bassline rattles the walls, vibrating through the bones of every spectator. Out steps MANDEM, draped in a black BST Fightwear tracksuit, hood pulled low over his eyes, jaw clenched with that cold, unbothered glare, the look of a man who’s seen too much to be fazed by bright lights. No theatrics. No forced energy. Just pure presence. The crowd explodes, but MANDEM doesn’t flinch. His focus is razor sharp, cutting through the noise like a razor blade.

Flanked by his tight knit crew, all sharp stares and stoic faces, MANDEM marches forward. Before reaching the inspection zone, he pauses. He turns to his coaches. No words needed. Just a firm embrace with each cornerman. A final nod. Respect. Loyalty. Then he’s back in motion.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Ladies and gentlemen, we have reached the Championship block of the night! First up, the man simply known as MANDEM. Eleven wins, three losses, one draw, but more importantly, he’s riding a six-fight unbeaten streak and looking to claim Bantamweight gold tonight. This is a fighter who doesn’t need theatrics to sell a fight. His presence speaks volumes.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “Yeah, Bodie, MANDEM is as real as they come. There’s no fluff, no gimmicks, just a fighter’s fighter. Tough as nails with elite-level striking, and what makes him so dangerous isn’t just the power in his hands, but how elusive he is. He’s like a ghost in there. He’s hard to hit, but when he hits you, you feel it.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “And he’s shown that time and again. What’s fascinating is how he’s managed to stay on this unbeaten streak despite facing stylistic nightmares ranging from pressure wrestlers, technical strikers, you name it. But tonight? This is without a doubt his toughest test yet.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “Absolutely. Victoria Marshall isn’t just another opponent. She’s relentless, but you know MANDEM thrives in chaos. He’s the type of fighter who can be losing four minutes of a round and flip the script with one clean shot. That’s the kind of danger he brings into every second of this fight.”

At the inspection zone, the officials step in. They know the stakes. They check his mouthpiece, tug at his gloves to ensure the tape is secure, fingers sliding along the edges for any sign of looseness.

A cutman steps forward with a dollop of Vaseline, smearing it across MANDEM’s brow, cheekbones, and under his eyes. His face remains stoic, jaw twitching slightly.

Then, the gate opens. No pause. No hesitation. MANDEM strides forward, stepping into the cage like it’s just another day at the office, a dangerous office where violence pays the bills. The door slams shut behind him. Gloves tighten. Eyes narrow. This isn’t about the show. It’s about the fight.

The crowd is still buzzing from MANDEM’s gritty march, the air thick with anticipation for what’s next. Suddenly, the lights shift. Not a harsh, blinding glare, but a warm, golden hue that washes over the arena. Then, like a slow-burning fuse, the haunting strum of “Hell’s Comin’ with Me” by Poor Man’s Poison echoes through the Sphere.

♫
THEY ALL LAUGHED AS HE TURNED AROUND SLOW

♫

The melody is dark and smoky, but there’s an undercurrent of something lighter, something defiant without trying too hard. That’s when Victoria Marshall steps into view. The Bantamweight Champion. Her Seattle green BST Fightwear hoodie half zipped, hands tucked into the pockets. There’s a subtle grin tugging at the corner of her mouth, like this is just another Sunday night.

She bounces on her toes, giving a little wave to a section of the crowd that shouts her name, a wink tossed in for good measure. No scowl. No forced intensity. Just Victoria being Victoria, a fun loving, happy-go-lucky kid who happens to be the number one pound-for-pound fighter.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “And here comes the reigning, defending Union GP Bantamweight Champion, Victoria Marshall! Fourteen wins, five losses, two draws, and an incredible 13-fight unbeaten streak. She’s not just winning; she’s dominating. And yet, look at her demeanor. Loose. Relaxed. Out of context, you wouldn’t even know she’s about to step in a cage and throw hands for potentially twenty-five minutes.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “That’s what makes her so unique, Bodie. She doesn’t get caught up in the hype. There’s no forced intensity here, this is just Victoria being Victoria. But don’t let the smile fool you. The second that cage door shuts, she flips the switch. Aggressive boxing, suffocating wrestling, she just drowns you in pace and pressure.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “And that wrestling has been the key to her reign. She doesn’t just take you down, she makes you miserable while you’re down there. Constant pressure, no space to breathe, and when you think you’ve found an escape, she drags you right back into deep waters.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “But the question tonight is, can she do that to MANDEM? Because he’s not just elusive on the feet, he scrambles like his life depends on it. If Victoria can’t pin him down early, this fight could turn into a striking battle, and that’s MANDEM’s world.”

As she approaches the inspection zone, she turns to her corner with an exaggerated shrug. Her coaches laugh, one of them giving her a playful slap on the shoulder before pulling her in for a quick embrace. It’s not a dramatic, last words kind of moment. It’s more like, “Go do your thing, kid.”

At the inspection station, the officials get to work. Gloves? Checked. Tape? Secure. Mouthpiece in. The cutman steps forward with Vaseline, and Victoria leans in, crossing her eyes like a goofball for a split second, earning a chuckle from the cutman. But as soon as the greasing is done, the switch flips. The smile fades, not forced, just gone. Her jaw sets, her eyes narrow. This is the part she takes seriously. The fight.

She steps into the cage with an easy swagger, pacing the perimeter, taking in the crowd with a casual nod. She’s not here to prove anything to anyone. She’s here because this is what she does. The door shuts behind her, and for all the fun and games, there’s a quiet storm brewing just beneath the surface.

Hell’s comin’ with her, and she’s having a damn good time on the way.

MIKE DEMPSEY: “Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for the Co-Main Event of the evening! Sanctioned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, our three judges scoring this contest at cageside are Tommy Cooper, Bob Patterson, and Jason Lane, and when the action begins, our referee in charge in the octagon is Jordan Ripley. AND NOW, live from the sold out Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada, streaming exclusively on the Battleground Network…”

IT’S TIME!

MIKE DEMPSEY: “The following contest is scheduled for five rounds and it is for the Union Grand Prix Bantamweight Championship! Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Bareknuckle Boxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of eleven wins, three losses, one draw. He stands 5’11” tall, and weighing in at 135 pounds. He is from London, England, fighting out of PRODIGY 206 — presenting the number three ranked Bantamweight Contender in the World, “4Da” MANDEM!”

MANDEM is a picture of quiet intensity. His body is loose yet poised, his fists relaxed at his sides as he stares ahead with an icy, unreadable gaze. He barely reacts when his name is announced, offering only a slight tilt of his head, acknowledging the crowd with a brief, silent gesture. He nods to his corner and shifts his stance, bouncing lightly on his toes, his focus unbroken, his expression unwavering.

MIKE DEMPSEY: “And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Freestyle Wrestler holding a professional mixed martial arts record of fourteen wins, five losses, two draws. She stands 5’6” tall, and weighing in at 134 pounds. She is from Seattle, Washington, fighting out of Twin Cities MMA — presenting THE REIGNING, DEFENDING, UNDISPUTED Union Grand Prix Bantamweight Champion of the World, Victoria Marshall!”

Victoria Marshall stands in her corner, exuding a relaxed yet focused energy, her fists resting lightly on her hips as she bounces lightly on her toes. A faint grin tugs at the corner of her mouth as she absorbs the crowd’s roar, her eyes narrowing with quiet determination. She briefly glances at MANDEM and pounds her chest before settling into her focused stance, ready to fight.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Two fighters on incredible win streaks. The stakes don’t get higher than this. Bantamweight gold on the line. Something’s got to give tonight. Let’s find out who wants it more.”

Beneath the unforgiving glare of the bright lights, the referee strides to the center of the octagon. Jordan Ripley, the stoic veteran referee, summons the fighters. Behind him stands Mike Dempsey, microphone poised like a trumpet before battle. Ripley’s words are measured as he gives one final clarification.

JORDAN RIPLEY: “Alright fighters, we’ve gone through the rules in the back. Protect yourself at all times, follow my instructions, touch gloves if you wish and let’s do it.”

Both fighters seem ready to burst with adrenaline. Without much hesitation, they touch gloves and quickly backpedal to their respective corners. As they settle into their stances, Jordan Ripley checks off with each fighter one last time, ensuring they are both ready for the challenge that lies ahead.

ROUND ONE: The energy inside the Sphere shook with a deafening roar as Victoria Marshall and MANDEM locked eyes across the cage. The Bantamweight Championship was on the line, and the tension was thick enough to cut with a knife. As the opening round began, the two warriors stormed to the center, neither blinking, neither backing down. MANDEM, all raw power and swagger, loaded up a right hand, but Marshall was already moving, feinting high before shooting low. MANDEM sprawled back, but Marshall was relentless. She latched onto his legs, driving forward with unstoppable force, slamming him onto his back. The crowd roared as the champion wasted no time, pressing her weight down, suffocating the striker beneath her. Elbows and short punches rained down as Marshall’s top game was a grinding storm. MANDEM scrambled beneath her, his frustration mounting as he struggled to shake her loose. He managed to frame against her hips, creating an inch of space, but that was all Marshall needed. She postured up and unleashed a series of hammerfists, each strike echoing through the arena. The crowd reacted with every sickening thud. Blood trickled from MANDEM’s nose, his breathing heavy with his back against the canvas. He fought to regain full guard, wrapping his legs around Marshall’s waist, trying to nullify the storm, but Marshall stayed locked in, stuffing his escape routes. As the seconds ticked down, she lifted her hips, stacking MANDEM against the cage, looking to pass, but he clung on, surviving by sheer grit until the sound of the horn allowed him to regroup in his corner.

ROUND TWO: The second round opened up with MANDEM hell-bent on keeping the fight in his domain. He stormed forward, unleashing a vicious right cross with bad intentions. Marshall barely slipped out of the way, the wind of the punch grazing her cheek. The message was clear though, MANDEM wasn’t here to play. Marshall wasted no time in closing the distance and initiating a clinch against the fence, but MANDEM, a bruiser built for dirty boxing, capitalized immediately. He drove sharp elbows into her temple, one after another, splitting the skin above her right eye. Blood trickled down her face, but if Marshall felt it, she didn’t show it. She tightened her grip, muscled underhooks, and yanked MANDEM off balance with a savage trip takedown, sending him crashing to the canvas once more. From side control, Marshall bore down, her shoulder grinding into MANDEM’s jaw as she worked to isolate his right arm. The threat of an Americana loomed, and the challenger knew it. Gritting his teeth, he exploded with raw power, bucking Marshall off just enough to create a scramble. The crowd roared as both fighters surged back to their feet, the momentum swinging wildly. MANDEM, now brimming with confidence, let his hands fly. A left hook detonated on Marshall’s jaw, rocking her, forcing her to take a step back. Sensing blood in the water, he pressed forward, whipping a knee into her ribs. The impact echoed through the arena, but Marshall refused to fold. Like a machine, she powered through, dropped levels, and drove through MANDEM with a relentless double leg takedown, slamming him to the mat just as the horn blared. A fierce, bloody war was unfolding, and neither fighter was backing down.

ROUND THREE: The third round opened with both fighters bearing the scars of war. Marshall’s right eye had ballooned from the damage MANDEM inflicted earlier, a dark, swollen reminder of his power. Across from her, MANDEM’s chest heaved, a telltale sign that the relentless wrestling had begun to drain his gas tank. Marshall was first to initiate, shooting in for another takedown, determined to impose her will, but this time, MANDEM was ready. He sprawled hard, stuffing the attempt with every ounce of strength left in him. Forced into the clinch, he went to work, driving brutal uppercuts into Marshall’s midsection, each one landing with a sickening thud. She winced but held firm, absorbing the punishment before ripping herself free, blood trickling down her brow. She circled, feinting a jab, and MANDEM bit, his guard shooting up instinctively. That split second was all she needed. Marshall surged forward, snatching a single leg takedown. MANDEM hopped on one foot, struggling to keep his balance, but Marshall showed no mercy. She hooked his planted leg and drove him to the mat, slamming him onto his back. For the first time in the fight, she climbed into full mount. The crowd erupted as she postured up, fists cocked. Then came the hammerfists, elbows, and piston-like punches raining down with merciless intent. MANDEM turtled, his arms barely shielding his head from the storm. Just as the referee inched closer, MANDEM roared to life, bridging his hips in a desperate scramble. He twisted, contorting his way to half guard, clinging on for dear life. Marshall stayed heavy, peppering him with short shots, but the damage was done. The round ended with MANDEM still trapped beneath her, breathing heavily, his body battered. The tide had turned. Marshall wasn’t just winning, she was slowly dragging him into deep waters.

ROUND FOUR: The championship rounds began with both modern day warriors gassed but unwilling to break. Marshall’s face was battered with bruises and swelling, while MANDEM’s chest rose and fell in labored breaths, his once-unshakable confidence now tempered by exhaustion. The stakes had never been higher. MANDEM swung for the fences, launching a wild overhand right packed with desperation, but Marshall saw it coming. She ducked under the haymaker and shot in like a missile, driving MANDEM backward until his spine met the unforgiving steel of the cage. With a fierce inside trip, she ripped him off his feet and slammed him to the mat, the thud of impact echoed through the arena. Wasting no time, she slithered into back control, locking her legs around his waist like a vice. MANDEM clawed at the canvas, trying to shake her off, but Marshall had him dead to rights. She flattened him out, pressing her weight into his back, suffocating his last flickers of resistance. Then came the squeeze. Her arms constricted around his jaw, twisting his head at a grotesque angle. It wasn’t a textbook rear-naked choke, this was simply a primal neck crank, pure agony, and MANDEM’s body betrayed him. His hands shot forward, frantically tapping. It was over just like that. The moment his surrender was official, the arena erupted, the crowd roaring as Marshall released the hold and rose to her feet, victorious once again.

As Victoria Marshall celebrates with her cornermen, the audience erupts into deafening applause. The Ringside Physicians quickly enter the octagon to attend to MANDEM. After a brief examination, MANDEM is on his feet and the physicians exit the cage, allowing both fighters to gather in the center of the octagon for the official announcement of the winner.

MIKE DEMPSEY: “Ladies and gentlemen, referee Jordan Riley has called for a stop in this fight at three minutes forty-seven seconds in the fourth round, declaring the winner by submission, AAAAAND STIIIIILL the undisputed Union Grand Prix Bantamweight Champion of the World, Victoria Marshall!”

If the roof had hinges, they’d be gone. The crowd detonates, an explosion of sound that seems almost physical. Dante Reed, Union GP’s founding architect of chaos, steps in with the championship belt. He wraps it around Marshall’s waist, and for a second, she’s not just a fighter, but a queen crowned in glory.

There’s a handshake between the two fighters. It’s brief, but loaded with everything unspoken. Respect isn’t always pretty, but it’s always there when the dust settles. The screen fades into post fight stats as the commentators dive into the recap.

The Sphere hummed with that post-fight electricity, the kind that lingers in the rafters long after the fight has been called. Victoria Marshall stood there, right in the thick of it, her face wearing the night’s narrative in bruises and blood, a thin, defiant streak trickling from a cut near her temple. The Bantamweight strap clung to her waist, less an accessory and more a declaration, glinting under the spotlight that framed her in gold and shadowy mystique all at once. The crowd’s roar felt like it might never taper off, swelling again as Bodie Sullivan slid into the cage, mic in hand, threading his voice through the chaos.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for the winner AND STILL Union Grand Prix Bantamweight Champion of the world… VICTORIA MARSHALL!”

The crowd erupted once more, a sea of fists pumping into the air, chants of “TORI! TORI!” echoing through the venue. Marshall raised her arms, breathing heavily, a grin breaking through the exhaustion. Bodie stepped beside her, his signature composed demeanor a sharp contrast to the wild energy surrounding them.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Victoria, what an absolutely incredible fight. That was a championship performance through and through. It was gritty, it was relentless, and you showed the heart of a true champion. How are you feeling after a war like that?”

Victoria laughs breathlessly, wiping sweat from her face, her eyes still burning with adrenaline.

VICTORIA MARSHALL: “Bodie… I’m feeling blessed. This is what I live for! The energy in this arena tonight? Unreal! Thank you to everyone who came out, you guys pushed me through those tough moments, but more than anything, I’ve got to thank my team, my coaches, my teammates… they’re my backbone. They’ve been with me every step of the way, and this belt isn’t just mine, it’s ours.”

The crowd roared again, a wave of appreciation washing over her words. Marshall’s voice grew steadier, her confidence shining through despite the fatigue etched on her face.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “You’ve now defended your title for a second time in a pretty dominant fashion. What’s next for you? What’s the legacy you want to leave behind?”

She pauses, glancing down at the belt, then back at the crowd with a glint in her eye.

VICTORIA MARSHALL: “Legacy? I’m just getting started. I’m here to cement my name as one of the greatest Bantamweights to ever do it. I want the biggest fights, the biggest names. I’m not here to play it safe. I’m here to make history.”

The camera zoomed in on her intense expression, the crowd feeding off her energy like wildfire.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Well, speaking of big names, there’s a few big names sitting cageside tonight, like former Champion Gianna Howard and rising contender Serenity Holmes, even Hall of Famer Marissa Kane who made her Union GP debut earlier tonight. Any thoughts on those matchups?”

She chuckles, shaking her head with a playful grin.

VICTORIA MARSHALL: “Bodie, I’m the Champion. I don’t do the calling out, that’s their job. But hey… Gianna? Serenity? I see the hype. Oh, and Marissa Kane? Welcome to the big leagues.”

She winks at the camera, the crowd erupting at the playful jab.

VICTORIA MARSHALL: “Whoever Dante decides to put in front of me next, I’m going to take it. I don’t care who, I accept everyone.”

Bodie nodded, his signature professionalism shining through even as the crowd roared louder, sensing the magnitude of Marshall’s words.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Big statement after a big night! Congratulations once again on another incredible performance. Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise one more time for the Bantamweight Champion, Victoria Marshall!”

Marshall hoisted the belt overhead, a defining silhouette against the burst of flashing lights. The moment hung in the air, a fitting exclamation point to a grueling bout. She stood there, framed in the chaos, a champion who had once again willed herself through the fire. And with that, the broadcast faded to black, giving the audience a final moment to let it all sink in before cutting away to one last break.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Welcome back, everyone! We just witnessed an incredible Co-Main Event where Victoria Marshall successfully defended her Bantamweight Championship with a fourth-round submission over MANDEM. What a display of resilience and championship grit from Marshall! But the night isn’t over yet, we’ve got the Lightweight Championship Main Event on deck as Benji Meyers defends his title against the former two-time champ, Jordan Parker. And speaking of championship grit, take a look at who’s sitting cageside tonight.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “The man, the myth, the legend, Donnie Calabrese! Dog Face Donnie ended 2024 on the highest of notes, retiring as the reigning two-time Heavyweight Champion and already a first-ballot Hall of Famer this year. I mean, what a career. Ten-fight winning streak to close it out, 21 knockouts, the most in Union GP history. Not to mention the most fights, the most wins, the most performance bonuses, and the fastest knockout at just 19 seconds. That résumé speaks for itself.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “It really does, Kayla. When you talk about icons of this sport, Donnie Calabrese’s name is etched in history. He wasn’t just dominant, he was a showstopper every time he stepped into the cage. His presence here tonight just adds to the magnitude of this event. Big fights attract big names, and when you’ve got a Lightweight title clash like Meyers versus Parker, you know legends are going to be in the building.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “Absolutely, Bodie. And you’ve got to wonder, does a guy like Donnie ever really leave the fight game? Sure, he’s retired, but when you’ve been that competitive, that successful, it’s in your blood. Whether he’s coaching, mentoring, or just being a fan, he’s always going to be connected to moments like this.”

BODIE SULLIVAN: “No doubt about it. Well, the legends are watching, the anticipation is building, and it’s time for the Main Event. The Lightweight Championship is on the line, Benji Meyers versus Jordan Parker. This is what it’s all about, folks. Let’s turn it back to the action one last time tonight!”

The Sphere hums with that peculiar kind of electricity only a high stakes fight can conjure, the crowd’s anticipation wrenching tighter with every pulse of light. “One for the Money” by Escape the Fate rips through the speakers, its sharp, jagged riff carving out a path for Jordan Parker to emerge. There’s no pageantry in his stride, no theatrics to soften the edges. Just the measured, unshaken pace of a man who’s been here before, who’s worn gold twice and knows the unforgiving nature of this game. The blue and purple lights slash across his face, but his expression doesn’t waver, locked somewhere between focus and indifference, as if the chaos around him is just background noise to the mission at hand.

Flanking him is James Shark, a living legend and pioneer to the sport’s ruthless history. His presence is less ceremonial than it is an anchor. They trade a few words, brief enough to vanish into the crowd’s roar, but you get the sense they don’t need much. At the inspection zone, Parker offers nods to his cornermen, pulling them in close for some final words, though his face suggests he’s already said everything that matters.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for the Main Event of the evening, and here’s the challenger, Jordan Parker! This man has been absolutely dominant since his return last year. He’s riding a four-fight win streak, three of those victories by submission. In fact, Parker won Submission of the Year for the second time in 2024, and with his aggressive, slick BJJ game, he’s on a mission to become the first fighter in Union GP history to win three championships in the same division. He’s the youngest champion in Union GP history, looking to cement his legacy with another title.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “You know, Jordan Parker’s rise back to the top has been a masterclass in grappling. When you’re facing a fighter like Benji, who has that striking range advantage, it’s not just about trying to match him shot-for-shot, it’s about breaking that rhythm and getting in close. Parker’s cardio, his relentless pace, and ability to drag the fight to the mat are what he needs to implement to neutralize Meyers’ height and reach. It’ll be interesting to see how he manages that range and whether he can get past the hands of a fighter who is so comfortable from long range.”

The official steps forward to begin the inspection. The gloves are checked, secured tight against his hands, and the tape on his wrists is given a quick glance. The cutman steps in, greasing his face with deliberate precision. Jordan doesn’t flinch. His gaze never leaves the ground, keeping his focus on what’s ahead. As the final touches are made, he takes a deep breath, exhaling slowly, his body steady, prepared for the battle that awaits.

With a final nod to Shark and the rest of his cornermen, Jordan steps into the cage. His calm demeanor remains, but his body tenses with readiness. This is where it gets real.

As the lights in the Sphere flicker, the atmosphere gets heavy with tension, setting the stage for something monumental. The booming bass of “Lalala” by Y2K and bbno$ bursts from the speakers, and the entire arena surges to life with a roar of anticipation. This isn’t just any walkout, this is Benji Meyers’ moment, the reigning champion entering the octagon looking for his second title defense.

A spotlight cuts through the dark, revealing the champion. Benji is focused, but his signature mischievous grin is still in place. The Championship belt gleams over his shoulder, a visual declaration of his reign at the top. His signature hot pink and neon green BST Fightwear kit is tailored for a fighter who knows how to make an entrance.

With purpose in his step, Benji moves forward, every stride exuding confidence. He makes a point to engage with the fans, high-fiving them as he feeds off their energy, his grin widening with every cheer. The lyrics of the song bounce around him, the words seeming to sync perfectly with his journey down the ramp. Benji lets the hype build, savoring the adoration of the crowd, but underneath it all, there’s a laser focus. He’s not just enjoying the spotlight, he’s reminding everyone why he’s the champ.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “And now, with the final walk of the night, it’s the reigning, defending, undisputed Lightweight Champion, Benji Meyers! I gotta say, it’s hard not to be impressed by his run as of late. With a seven-fight win streak and the power to finish from distance, he’s looking for win number 20 tonight, and another title defense to solidify his dominance in the division. The karate stance, the precision striking, and that elite range, it’s all a dangerous combination for anyone trying to close the distance on him.”

KAYLA CHAPMAN: “That’s absolutely right, Bodie. Benji Meyers has mastered his style of long-range striking, using that wide karate stance to keep opponents at bay while landing some really explosive kicks and punches. His ability to manage the distance is impressive, but as good as his striking is, this matchup becomes so interesting when we look at Jordan Parker, who brings in that world-class BJJ and relentless cardio. Meyers’ tall frame and rangy style are advantages, but Parker has the ability to slip inside, change the range, and close that distance, where his grappling could shine.”

As Benji approaches the cage, he pauses for a brief moment at cageside, drawing in a deep breath to ground himself amidst the roaring crowd. The music still flows through the arena, but his focus is unwavering. His cornermen surround him, swiftly removing his BST Fightwear warmups, revealing the champion beneath. He looks poised and ready for what’s next. With each step of the inspection, Benji’s intensity sharpens. The official runs through the checks, ensuring his gloves are secured, inspecting his gear, and greasing his face.

Once the inspection is complete, he steps through the cage door, his presence commanding the space. The crowd’s roar grows, a wave of support crashing over him as he enters the octagon. As Benji takes his place in his corner, he takes a slow look around, absorbing the energy of the moment, his grin spreading wider. He’s ready. And he’s here to prove once again why he’s the Champion.

MIKE DEMPSEY: “Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for the Main Event of the evening! Sanctioned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, our three judges scoring this contest at cageside are Tommy Cooper, Bob Patterson, and Jason Lane, and when the action begins, our referee in charge in the octagon is Lars Levy. AND NOW, this is the moment you’ve all been waiting for! Live from the sold out Sphere in Sin City — Las Vegas, Nevada, streaming exclusively on the Battleground Network…”

IT’S TIME!

MIKE DEMPSEY: “The following contest is scheduled for five rounds and it is for the Union Grand Prix Lightweight Championship! Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Fighter holding a professional mixed martial arts record of fourteen win, eight losses, one draw. He stands 5’7” tall, and weighing in at 154.5 pounds. He is from Houston, Texas, fighting out of Holmes MMA and Wrestling Academy — presenting the former two-time Union Grand Prix Lightweight Champion and the number three ranked Lightweight Contender in the World, “Spidey” Jordan Parker!”

Jordan Parker steps out from his corner, exuding a quiet intensity. His body language is relaxed, a stark contrast to the hype and noise around him. Jordan takes in the moment with a slow, deliberate breath, his eyes scanning the crowd, but he remains calm and collected. No unnecessary gestures, just the confidence of a fighter who knows his time has come to reclaim the throne again.

MIKE DEMPSEY: “And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Boxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of nineteen wins, five losses. He stands 6’1” tall, and weighing in at 155 pounds. He is from Seattle, Washington, fighting out of PRODIGY 206 — presenting THE REIGNING, DEFENDING, UNDISPUTED Union Grand Prix Lightweight Champion of the World, “Bony Stark” Benji Meyers!”

Benji Meyers raises a fist to the crowd, but his eyes snap straight to Parker, the brief grin fading into a cold, unflinching stare. He pulls his shoulders back, chest puffed out, and takes a deep breath, his arms swinging loose as he shakes off any tension. The gravity of the moment hits hard, but there’s no sign of doubt. He’s locked in, fully dialed in for his second title defense with only one singular thought. Tonight, the belt stays in his possession.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Here we go, folks. With twenty-five minutes on the clock, history is up for grabs! When it’s all said and done, the dust settles, do we hear AND STILL or AND NEW? Buckle in because we are just moments away from answering that million dollar  question!”

The referee, Lars Levy, steps into the center of the octagon, his voice calm yet commanding as he motions for the fighters to meet. The crowd on the edge of their seats. Behind him, Mike Dempsey stands with the microphone, ready to capture the moment. Levy offers one last quick, no-nonsense pep talk, his words lost in the sea of anticipation, as both fighters lock eyes, knowing that the moment they’ve been preparing for is about to unfold.

LARS LEVY: “Alright gentlemen, we’ve gone through the rules in the back. Protect yourself at all times, follow my instructions, touch gloves and let’s do it.”

Both fighters practically jolt with tension, their adrenaline already surging before the bell even rings. A quick touch of gloves, a mutual nod, and they’re already retreating to their corners, each one bracing themselves for the chaos about to unfold. Referee Lars Levy takes a moment to lock eyes with both men, giving them one last check to make sure they’re mentally and physically prepared for the storm that’s about to hit. The tension continues to build, and now, it’s go time.

ROUND ONE: The neon glow of the Sphere pulsed over the octagon as the opening round of this high-stakes Lightweight Championship bout began. The crowd restless, waiting for violence to unfold. Benji Meyers took command of the center instantly, his southpaw stance coiled with energy, his right hand twitching like a trigger finger. Across from him, Jordan Parker circled, light on his feet, his sharp eyes scanning for the slightest opening. The first exchanges were tense, yet measured. Meyers flicked out a probing jab, his knuckles grazing Parker’s forehead. Parker responded with a quick leg kick, the impact cracking through the arena. Neither man was reckless. This was a battle of precision, of patience laced with dangerous risk. Meyers stepped in, unleashing a blistering left straight, but Parker slipped just out of range, his reflexes razor-sharp. Then came the first real collision. Meyers pressed forward, feinting, then launching a lightning-fast left hand. It found Parker’s chin, snapping his head back with a flash of sweat and spit. The crowd roared, sensing the first crack in the armor. Parker absorbed it, reset, and fired back his own right hand whistling past Meyers’ jaw. The tension thickened, each exchange brimming with danger. As the round wore on, Meyers’ precision gave him the edge. He stalked Parker, cutting off angles, his fists darting through openings. Parker, elusive but not untouched, began to feel the Champion’s power. The horn blared, ending the round, and as Parker returned to his corner, his coach’s voice cut through the noise: “You gotta slow him down!” Meyers, unfazed, simply smirked. He had drawn first blood.

ROUND TWO: The second round erupted with Meyers oozing confidence, his movement sharper, his strikes snapping off with deadly precision. The champion had found his rhythm, and Parker was starting to feel it. Meyers fired a crisp left cross, the impact jolting Parker’s head to the side, followed by a vicious hook that landed flush. The crowd roared as Parker absorbed the shots, but his counters came a fraction too late. Meyers was already gone, weaving just out of reach like a gazelle. Parker knew he couldn’t let Meyers dictate the fight, so he pressed forward, looking to clinch and slow the Champion down, but Meyers was too fast, too slick. He pivoted, effortlessly slipping out of Parker’s grasp before resetting his stance and launching a blistering one-two that sent sweat flying from Parker’s face. The challenger clenched his jaw, undeterred, but Meyers wasn’t letting him breathe. He kept the pressure on, his jab flicking out like a whip, popping Parker’s head back before following up with a sharp right hook. Parker’s frustration started to show. His head movement was still sharp, but his body lagged just a step behind. Every time he tried to close the distance, Meyers punished him with clean counters, making him pay for every inch he tried to gain. The frustration turned to urgency as Parker lunged in with reckless aggression, only for Meyers to sidestep and drill him with a counter left. The shot wobbled Parker for a split second, his legs stiffening before he recovered. Meyers was in complete control, a masterclass in striking on full display. The horn blared, and as Parker marched back to his corner, his expression hardened. He was falling behind, and he knew it.

ROUND THREE: The energy inside the Sphere crackled with suspense as the third round began. Parker knew he was behind, and his demeanor had changed. No more patience, no more hesitation. He came forward like a man possessed, eyes locked on Meyers, jaw clenched with determination. As Meyers flicked out a jab, Parker exploded beneath it, ducking low and shooting in with a relentless double leg takedown. The speed and power behind the attempt were undeniable. Meyers sprawled, but Parker bulldozed through, driving him hard into the canvas. For the first time in the fight, Meyers looked vulnerable. Parker wasted no time asserting dominance, his grappling seamless as he secured top control. The challenger moved like a predator, his body weight heavy, his transitions smooth. Meyers bucked, twisted, trying to escape, but Parker was relentless, gliding between half guard and side control with flawless efficiency. Then came the submissions. An armbar, locked in deep. Meyers grimaced, muscles straining as he fought it off. A guillotine choke followed, Parker’s arms constricting around his neck. Meyers gasped, his fingers digging in to create space just enough to survive. The crowd sensed the danger, roaring as Parker continued his assault. In the final seconds, Parker threw his legs up, snapping them around Meyers’ head and arm for a triangle choke. Meyers was trapped, his face twisting in agony as Parker tightened. The seconds crawled by. Meyers’ hand hovered, his mind racing between tapping and holding on. Then salvation as the horn blared. Meyers ripped free as the round ended, gasping for air. Parker stood first, a smirk creeping across his face. He had built some sizable momentum. Meyers, battered but unbroken, glared up at him. The war was far from over.

ROUND FOUR: The Championship rounds had arrived, and Parker smelled blood. The challenger stormed forward, his relentless pace breaking Meyers down piece by piece. His strikes weren’t meant to be flashy, they were weapons of attrition, meant to grind the Champion down. A stiff jab cracked Meyers’ nose, then Parker barreled into him, driving him against the cage with brute force. The crowd roared as the two locked up in a brutal clinch war, but this time, Parker dictated the exchanges. He buried his forehead into Meyers’ chest, ripping short, sharp elbows and punishing knees to the ribs. Meyers gritted his teeth, trying to fight for space, but Parker was suffocating, his pressure unrelenting. Then came the trip. Meyers hit the canvas hard, and Parker pounced. The Champion thrashed beneath him, trying to escape, but Parker’s control was suffocating. Every move Meyers made, Parker had an answer. Parker trapped an arm, torquing it into a vicious Americana attempt. Meyers groaned, his face twisted in pain, but he refused to break. His breath came in ragged gasps, his arms trembling as he fought off submission after submission. Parker punished him with slicing elbows, keeping him locked in a nightmare of grappling and grit. The crowd sensed the momentum shift. Meyers, once untouchable, was now fighting to survive. The round ended with Parker standing over him, breathing heavy but grinning, his confidence surging. Meyers, battered and drained, sat up slowly, his chest rising and falling as his corner rushed in. The war wasn’t over, but the tide had turned.

ROUND FIVE: The final round opened with both warriors running on fumes, yet neither willing to break. Parker surged forward, launching a desperate flying knee. Meyers barely evaded it, slipping just out of range before firing back with a thunderous hook that glanced off Parker’s temple. The impact was enough to stagger him, but not stop him. What followed was pure chaos, both men digging into reserves that shouldn’t have existed. Every strike landed like a gunshot, every feint a calculated risk. Then, in a flash, Parker sprung into the air, wrapping his legs around Meyers’ neck with a flying triangle choke. The Sphere erupted. The submission was tight, Meyers’ body tensed, veins bulging as he struggled to breathe. This was it. This was Parker’s moment, but Meyers wasn’t ready to surrender his crown. With a primal roar, he planted his feet, hoisted Parker into the air, and slammed him into the canvas with every ounce of strength he had left. The impact rattled the cage, the crowd exploding as Parker’s grip loosened just enough for Meyers to rip free. He staggered to his feet, eyes blazing, body battered but unbroken. Sensing the end, Meyers looked to turn the tide, keeping the fight standing, where his hands could do the talking. A vicious left cross detonated on Parker’s jaw, sending him stumbling. Parker, stubborn to the last second, kept pressing, but his shots lacked power, his takedown attempts growing desperate. Meyers danced just out of reach, sniping with pinpoint counters. The final seconds ticked away in a haze of fortitude. When the final horn blared, both men collapsed into each other, spent but defiant, each raising their hands, each believing they had left no doubt.

The crowd erupts, a wave of sound that drowns out everything else in the arena. Both men, barely able to stand, stagger toward their corners, hands clutching the fence as they bend over in exhaustion, gasping for air like they’ve just walked through hell. The doctors are quick to check on them, their presence methodical, but it’s clear neither is in danger. After a brief exchange, the doctors retreat, and the fighters, still feeling the sting of every exchange, shuffle back to the center of the octagon, waiting for the decision that will finally silence the madness around them.

MIKE DEMPSEY: “Ladies and gentlemen, after five rounds, we go to the judges’ scorecards for a decision. Judge Tommy Cooper scores the bout 48-47 — Meyers, Judge Bob Patterson scores the bout 48-47 — Parker, and Judge Jason Lane scores the bout 48-47, declaring the winner by split decision, AAAAAND NEEEEEW Union Grand Prix Lightweight Champion of the World, “Spidey” Jordan Parker!”

The crowd is divided, a chaotic blend of cheers and boos hanging in the air after a fight that’s as close as they come. The Union Grand Prix Sphere was alive with energy, the crowd still buzzing from the drama of the fight that had just concluded. Jordan Parker stood in the center of the octagon, the freshly minted Lightweight Championship gleaming brightly on his waist. His face was a mix of exhaustion and exhilaration, the sweat on his brow and the bruises on his body is evidence to the grueling battle he’d just endured against Benji Meyers. As the crowd’s deafening reactions continued to echo through the arena, Bodie Sullivan stepped into the spotlight with the microphone in hand, ready to capture the moment.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Ladies and gentlemen, I am here with the winner AND NEW Union Grand Prix Lightweight Champion! Jordan, congratulations! You’ve done it again! You’ve just claimed the Lightweight Championship for the third time, making history as the only fighter to ever do so in a single division. What’s going through your mind right now after that war?”

Jordan takes a deep breath, his voice filled with raw emotion as he is still trying to process this moment.

JORDAN PARKER: “Man, it feels amazing. I’m still trying to process all of this, but this is what we strive for. THis moment right here. I’m so thankful for my gym, Holmes MMA and Wrestling Academy, for believing in me. My team, my coaches, my teammates, they’re family. They pushed me through this fight, and I couldn’t have done it without them. And a special shoutout to James Shark for cornering me tonight. He’s been very instrumental to me since day one, and I’m blessed to have him in my corner.”

The crowd’s energy surged, recognizing the sincerity in his voice. The atmosphere was electric, the magnitude of the victory settling in as they all soaked in the moment of history unfolding before them. Bodie kept his sights fixed on Parker, sensing that the next question would be pivotal.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Now, Jordan, that was one hell of a fight, and the decision was razor-thin. A split decision. Some may say it was too close to call. Did you feel like you did enough to earn this win?”

Jordan’s brow furrows as he reflects, then he gives a small, determined smile.

JORDAN PARKER: “Look, man, I knew this was gonna be close. Benji’s a warrior, no doubt. That guy brings it every time. But for me, I felt like I did enough. I controlled the pace, I feel like I landed the cleaner shots, and when the fight hit the ground, I was in control. I’m not one to shy away from a challenge, so if Benji feels like we need to run it back? I’m down. I’m always down. I’m confident in my performance, and I’m just blessed to have this belt back around my waist.”

The crowd erupted, showing their respect for Parker’s sportsmanship and his willingness to stand by his performance. The air felt heavier, the stakes felt higher, and the anticipation for what was next in his career grew. Bodie kept his focus sharp, knowing there was more to Parker’s journey.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Three-time champion. You’re now in rarefied air, Jordan, but I know you’ve got your eyes on more than just this belt. What’s next for you? What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?”

Parker’s eyes sharpen, his voice steady and resolute.

JORDAN PARKER:  “I’m not done yet, Bodie. This is just the start. I want to keep pushing the envelope, keep breaking records, and keep adding to my legacy. Three-time champion? That’s just the beginning. I want more. I want to defend this belt, I want to fight the best of the best, and I want to make sure people remember my name long after I’m gone. I’ve got a lot of fight left in me, and I’m ready to keep making history.”

The crowd roared in approval, sensing the fire that still burned within him. The energy in the arena was palpable, a shared understanding that Jordan Parker was far from finished, that his story was only just beginning.

BODIE SULLIVAN: “Jordan Parker, your new Lightweight Champion, and a man on a mission! The legacy continues, and the best is yet to come. Congratulations once again! Give it up folks for the NEW Lightweight Champion, Jordan Parker!”

The moment hung in the air like a page out of time as Parker stood there, soaking in the crowd’s roar, the spotlight casting him in a glow that seemed to stretch beyond the night itself. The energy was immense, the audience on their feet, giving respect to a fighter who wasn’t just a relic of past glory, but a result of what it means to keep fighting, to keep pushing. This wasn’t a man nearing the end of his road, this was a man still hungry, still dangerous, still writing chapters in a story that was far from over. As the camera pulled back, the grandeur of the Sphere framed the night’s final moments. The feed began to fade, the Battleground Network logo flickering into view, signaling the close of another unforgettable broadcast.
