BACKSTORY
The woman now known as Franny Garza (formerly von Licht) was born and raised in The Bronx.

She had grown up having a fairly normal life with her mother Maria De La Rosa (born in New York) and father Luis Garza (born in Durango, Mexico). Her parents were strict by nature, but they managed to keep the family stable between living in University Heights and staying in their native Mexico during the summer. Franny was heavily involved in sports such as boxing growing up. Franny’s parents found that she was a naturally talented athlete. Yet, they had a stronger desire to see her obtain a college degree.

One day two of her best friends, one being her cousin Jia, dared her to take a field trip down to Philadelphia without permission. This dare was taken one step farther when Franny was asked to sign herself up for a Hard Knox Wrestling tryout.

After a few talks, as well as a few displays in the facilities, HKW officials knew that Franny was a natural athlete at the age of 18. Thus, they gave her the opportunity. Throughout the following years, Franny enjoyed major success as a professional wrestler until opting to transition over to Mixed Martial Arts.

In her first professional bouts, Fran defeated Kendra Kanensson by submission at SFN, and then a few months later, she had beaten Jett Wilder by knockout for the 8 Corners MMA promotion. Afterwards, she competed in Everest MMA, rising up the rankings to become Featherweight Champion.

Following Franny’s Everest stint, she took time away from combat sports. Presently, she’s signed to a deal with THRONE MMA. And, now, is looking to expand her horizons to Union GP.
