Teatro Caupolicán in Santiago, Chile plays host to a card headlined by CLA bantamweight champion Scarlett Rosario, who puts her title on the line against Magdalena Moruga, a former Union GP bantamweight title challenger who has already been close enough to the top to know exactly how expensive the last step can be. For Rosario, it is another defense. For Moruga, it is another chance to prove that the championship door did not close the first time she came knocking.

There is plenty of familiar fight-game currency elsewhere on the card. Former Union GP contenders Mateo de Leon, Osvaldo Ledesma and Tatiana Ruiz return to action at welterweight, lightweight and bantamweight respectively, each carrying the sort of résumé that makes a supposedly routine fight difficult to categorize as such.

Then there is Ramón Paul Parra Leticia, who appears to have decided that rest is for people with less interesting problems. Fresh off a short-notice replacement upset win, the welterweight prospect is already back in the lineup, this time officially representing the CC Flynn-led Starstruck Sports Combat gym. The turnaround is quick, the opportunity is real, and Ramón seems perfectly willing to find out how far momentum can carry a fighter before reality sends the bill.
