BACKSTORY
Cody Foxworth grew up in Helena, Montana, raised inside a small town wrestling room where his father coached and toughness wasn’t negotiable. A three time state placer, he was supposed to be a collegiate standout, but homesickness and academic struggles pushed him back home within a semester. Feeling directionless, he was introduced to MMA through a former teammate. The sport clicked immediately.
Cody stormed through the Montana and Idaho regional circuit, earning a DRIP opportunity at DRIP 8, where he suffered his first loss with a first round knockout. Still raw but determined, he returned at DRIP 13 to face Carter Vaughn, losing via third round TKO. Two losses, no Union GP contract, and a consensus labeling him “not ready.”
Instead of fading away, Cody rebuilt. He moved to Denver and joined Mile High Combat Club, reshaping his game into a grinding, altitude fueled pressure style. Over the next 18 months, he won seven straight regional fights, outworking and overwhelming opponents who couldn’t match his pace or durability.
Now signed with the relaunched Everest MMA, Cody is regarded as one of their toughest incoming featherweights as a pressure wrestler with a bruiser’s mentality, a massive gas tank, and something still to prove after failing on the DRIP stage. Every fight now is personal. Every win is part of a bigger mission to climb back toward the spotlight he once let slip through his fingers.
