STRENGTHS
Striking: If he can get his hands on his opponent he can do some serious damage.
Unflappable: Wins don’t overly excite him, though he will gloat. And losses don’t damage his psyche too much.
Toughness: He can take a beating and keep going.

WEAKNESSES
Submissions: On the ground there is absolutely zero chance that Delaney is going to look for a submission.
Takedowns: Hasn’t paid as much attention to his takedown and takedown defense skills as he should.
Overly casual: He doesn’t take himself seriously, and certainly doesn’t take anyone he fights seriously.

BACKSTORY
He’s a bit of a jokester and always fights with a smile on his face, loving what he’s doing and never taking himself or his opponent too seriously. Delaney found early success in his career that led him to a Championship opportunity. He suffered his first loss to Lightweight Champion Hanako Takeuchi in the Main Event of UGP 11. Undeterred and with a show of respect, Delaney was determined to rebound. He strung three wins in a row during the 2019 Championship Grand Prix to reach the finals. He matched up against the reigning Champion Natalie King where the two went the full twenty-five minutes. Delaney won via split decision to capture his first title, and this fight won the Fight of the Year honors. This win was the launchpad that skyrocketed Delaney into a territory that hasn’t been matched yet. His name is littered through the record books, and continues to reach newer heights to this day.
