BACKSTORY
Robin Kelson was born in Miami, Florida. He had a very peaceful life growing up as his parents were involved in criminal law and he lived in Brickell which is a high-end portion of South Florida. Robin’s life was defined by private schools, exploring different aspects of luxury and becoming involved in sports to which he enjoyed wrestling in high school that he received a scholarship to the University of Miami to train where he became NCAA Division One Champion.
After graduating UM, he received an invitation to local MMA gyms to compete on the amateur circuit for two years before going professional. In the booming scene of MMA in Florida, Robin traveled across the state in different cities such as Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville gaining a lot of state-wide attention with his victories and winning local MMA championships at welterweight and middleweight.
He received a call from the Holmes MMA and Wrestling Academy to become a permanent member and accepted the offer. From his last few fights, he gained attention from Union GP to sign a contract and Robin accepted after going viral from his social media skits, viral moments in the cage with his entertaining and childlike antics along with his outspoken personality venturing into different media like stand up comedy.
