BOSS FIGHT 63: AZEVEDO vs CARTER

Rio de Janeiro becomes the hotbed of MMA as the Farmasi Arena plays host to a Boss Fight 63 card built around rankings, momentum, and future contention.

In the main event, #3 Isabel Azevedo returns home for a high stakes featherweight showdown with #6 Cole Carter. A former featherweight champion and the most prolific submission specialist in Union GP history, Azevedo has already established herself as one of the division’s most accomplished fighters. Now, in front of her home crowd, she faces a dangerous opponent arriving at the perfect moment. Carter enters off a defining knockout victory over Euro FC featherweight champion Laurent Dubois at UGP 75 in his hometown  Miami, proving that he can deliver when the spotlight is at its brightest. For Azevedo, it’s an opportunity to defend her place among the division’s elite. For Carter, it’s a chance to break into the championship conversation. Azevedo has the experience, the pedigree, and the home field advantage. Carter has the confidence of a fighter who knows he can change the complexion of a division with one clean shot.

The co-main event carries its own set of significance. Former Everest MMA welterweight champion Kian De Beer returns to the Union GP octagon following a spectacular head kick knockout at Euro FC 21, but Ryan Calder is waiting to derail his momentum. With De Beer looking to strengthen his position in the global rankings, Calder has the opportunity to turn one night into a career-defining breakthrough. 

On the undercard, Union GP prospects collide with Everest MMA hopefuls, each one chasing the same thing. A chance to make a name, an opportunity to earn a contract, and a moment on the big stage to prove they belong. #10-ranked Shane Rudd meets Everest MMA’s Tyler Duncan at lightweight. Former Union GP title challenger Carter Vaughn takes on Tanner Cross at featherweight. Milana Radek faces Everest’s Heidi Butler at bantamweight. These are the fights where contenders are born and where prospects find out whether they stack up in the big league.

The night kicks off with the Prelims at 8:00 PM ET and culminates with the Main Card at 10:00 PM ET, streaming exclusively on the Battleground Network.
