BACKSTORY
Felix Rosario was born in Sydney, Australia, to a family of mixed cultural heritage. His mother is of Filipino descent, and his father is of Spanish ancestry. Growing up, Felix was always interested in martial arts, particularly boxing and kickboxing. He was a natural athlete and quickly excelled in both sports, winning several amateur competitions in his teenage years. However, it wasn’t until Felix discovered mixed martial arts that he found his true calling. He was drawn to the rawness and unpredictability of the sport, as well as the technical skills required to excel. Felix began training in MMA at a local gym in Sydney, under the guidance of a skilled coach. Felix’s amateur MMA career was short-lived, as he quickly amassed an impressive record of 5-0. He was soon offered a professional contract by a local promotion, and he jumped at the chance to prove himself on the professional circuit. Despite facing tougher competition, Felix continued to win fights and quickly gained a reputation as one of the most exciting featherweight prospects in Australia.
However, Felix’s success was not without setbacks. He suffered two consecutive losses against more experienced opponents, which forced him to re-evaluate his training and approach to the sport. Felix realized that he needed to focus on his ground game and grappling skills if he was going to take his career to the next level. After several months of intensive training, Felix’s hard work paid off. He won his next three fights in dominant fashion, showcasing his improved grappling and submission skills. It was this impressive run that caught the attention of Everest MMA, Union GP’s developmental brand, which signed him to compete in their season 4 run. Felix is excited for the opportunity to compete at a higher level and prove himself on the global stage. He knows that the competition will be tough, but he’s confident in his abilities and is determined to make a name for himself in the MMA world.
