BACKSTORY
Verona Jimenez loves to go straight first into the action. She’s more of a brawling type who loves to stay on her feet and hates going to the ground. Her personality of being the head-on fighter as she barrels her through opposition believing she is a durable tank and then musters berserk strength to go through the punishment and fight.
Verona Jimenez was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, from a working class family. Being an only-child, she found it hard to grow up, especially in the city where she stayed, which was under a lot of crime. Jimenez found herself fighting a lot with her students and even got expelled from high-school from her violent tendencies.
It wasn’t until she moved to Houston, Texas to live with her aunt as her family wanted a better life for her. She worked as security for a couple of hospitals until beginning to train under Andre Holmes at the Holmes MMA and Wrestling Academy.
From there, she has managed to go pro, earning a good record of 5-3 on the local Houston scene where she wanted to move forward in her career by joining Union Grand Prix.
