BACKSTORY
Masami grew up surrounded by combat sports. As a youngster in Tokyo, he grew up in a professional wrestling environment as his dad was a well known manager in the Wrestling scene. One of his uncles was a professional boxer, the other a professional mma fighter. As a result Masami would spend time in these environments as well. Years would go by, and Masami’s father would get an offer to work as staff for a local Seattle wrestling promotion. Masami would spend the rest of his adolescent years here, participating in various school sports such as lacrosse, Wrestling, and boxing. After graduating high school, Masami would take up a modeling gig, still boxing at his local gym, where he met Baby. The 206 Gym owner would offer him a place to train, and the rest, as they say, is history.
